I was wondering what (if any) loot components can be used in making a stun baton and or a gaderfi baton.
I realize how you great and noble smiths hate when non crafters bug you guys on these boards,but if it gets you your looted items i imagine you can tolerate my presence =^.^=

Batons use Reinforcement cores. the most common thing to use is acklay bones. beyond that, you can use looted geo reinforcement core if you get some exceptional ones, but ussaly they suck. You can also use crafted Geo core that are made with yellow cubes and solidfying agents. Depending on the resources spawned on your server, it may be .1-.3 slower, but +15-+30 pts on damage. Alot just depends on your particular loot and resource history on your server.

The short answer is as follows:
Acklay bones - Typically highest overall damage is found by using these to enhance it.
Geo Reinforcement Cores(Crafted) - These use looted cubes(yellow for damage) and solidifying agents to craft.
Geo Reinforcement Cores(Looted) - These are whole looted cores.
All of the above items replace the Reinforcement core in the Powerhammer so only one can be used at a time. Base acklay bones 65/65 are more or less useless as you can get similar damage with normal cores with a faster speed, so in order for these to be usefull you'll need above base I suggest at least 100max damage. For the most part the looted cores are worthless, but on rare ocassion there are some great cores that drop and could be used to make a decent hammer. Crafted geo cores will give you the most bang for the buck. If you've got the money the best way is to get very good acklay bones and use them in your Stun baton, however Crafted geo cores can give you the same basic damage as low end acklay bones but at a much faster speed. I don't think it takes much to speed cap on fencer but if your still grinding then speed definately makes a difference for you. Crafted geo cores are also a very cost effective way to get a decent baton. Acklay bones can get very expensive in the millions of dollars. A crafted geo core using good components will likely only cost you a couple 100k at most.
Like the previous poster mentioned it does depend alot on your servers resources so I would check with a local smith for your server but this should at least give you enough information to get started.

Something to remember when using Acklay bones:
Unlike Reinforcement Cores, Acklay Bones have no accuracy modifiers, so the accuracy modifiers of your weapon could be 10-15 points off a standard crafted Stun Baton and Gaffi Stick.
