Thread: Weaponsmiths- cheer up
Good point really, you know what i would love is a companion post to the Pistoleer "How to buy a Pistol" it really gave me nice gauge to what hte profession is looking for as far as stats. Guessing can get expensive for us ![]()
So Mr Rifleman realistically what do you look for in your weapons stat wise?
I have made a point out of stocking both high dps and low sac weapons, thou most of my enhanced weaponry is Low SAC.
Think the reason you dont find many low sac T21s on vendors is that I for one rarely bother making them as ALR is so much better.
(I do however usually stock at least one T21 as I want to give my costumers the choice
)
You do have a point, but fact is that most ranged rotw weapons can be competed with however you needquite high tissues to do so. Additionally many of these have skillmods and some even have a lot cooler skins making them more unique.
As for Melee weapons it is close to if not totally impossible to match the stats of the ROTW weapons with the ENhancers we have available atm.

I think most of us know, it's the customers that keep telling us it isn't what they want, but they are catching on.
But I don't thus why i am asking. I've made several weapons to be honest that I thought were great but I don't know the profession. So when I present it to Bob Rifleman he will choke on some random stat I screwed up.
I'd really like and idea of what a profession is looking for in things like; SPD / SAC / Etc, at least then I can give them valid reasons as to why it's not feasible for me to meet that stat.
So, after I even wrote this comment someone goes: "My alt WS is changing to Entertainer" because of the new BH mission drops.
Gimme a break, don't you get this at all?
And for you who want an explanation on the weapons:
-there is not one favorite stat for each weaponclass, this goes allround. If you bring out a pistol with modified speed 1.02 as BH/ pistoleer, what good does it do if it has 120 sac and you shoot 4 times and are out off action pool?
Not "damage- pr- second", start thinking "damage- pr- minute"
Sac, sac, sac that's the priority if you are Swordsman, pistoleer or commando.
People will start to figure that the Smuggler is the one that customizes the weapon depending on your template, not the ws.
As a rifleman/ SL or Ranger or CM you need a speedslice as your general ranged speed is not too high. Any profession with a BH or Swordsman in them wants a "critical strike chance" slice. A Commando/ rifleman would need a speedslice and a Master Brawler/ TKM/ Master Pikes simply should not slice their weapons as they are already capped on max damage and the template is capped on speed.
But the weapons should be all the same from the WS, makes it simpler don't it?
I like to make another point for the whiners, lets look at Shipwright:
-All the same stories as WS, people quitting SW as ROTW brought a lot off loot shipmodels and look what happes:
All the new ships and space quests made alot off people interested in space, some master pilots even changed to novice imp pilot for the one reason alone to fly the Jedi Starfighter. So what does this meen for business? Well, should guess you would have to go all the way to master to fly the Jedi Starfighter or to do most off the high end quests, and what do you need to become Master? A %&/%¤#%¤#" Shipwright vendor!!! Do I find one? NO, becauseall the SW areon the forums whining about becoming entertainers.
So the next best thing is to buy overpriced spaceloot on the bazaar, and after tier 2 the people don't even know that crafted equipment is always better, because they have nothing to compare with.
Sad story, but I know it is true because I spent most off the time in space after ROTW was released to become Master Pilot and get me a Vaksai vessel. And even on galactic vendor search I was not able to find any SW that had restocked their vendors.
