Thread: Mater weaponsmith problem crafting

Hi,
I have finally mastered weaponsmith and thought i would try my hand at pistoleer to make a change from all the crafting. I gathered all the resources i needed to make a dh17 pistol i opened up the weapon public crafting station but the dh17 pistol wasnt listed. The schematic appears in my datapad,im a master and other schematics that require a public station do appear just not the dh17 and some others. I logged out and logged back in and still couldn't do it, i cant see any reason why im having this problem. Has anyone else experienced this and no of a way around it.
You can imagine i was a little annoyed that i spent so much time to become a weaponsmth and i cant make the weapon i want.
If this is a bug how can i report it?
any help would be very much appreciated.

You need to use a private crafting station, not a public one. After complexity level 15 or so you must use a private station to craft.

Im A Master Artisan and I Have My Own House with A Crafting Station I Have Built so am i able to do it

There is so much you are going to learn about crafting now.. gathering resources is the hardest part. Its a lot of fun though.

Personally I use a droid witha nice crafting staion in it. It lets me craft right at my factory.

Thats another thing i wanted to ask was about gathering resources. How is the best way to get started? i will mainly be gathering steel, ore and copper. Do survey droids point you to the richest concentration to lay down your harvesters?

Survey droids will tell you what resources are currently available on the planet that you sent it to, but they will not tell you the stats of the resources or give you any kind of concentration information, you'll have to do the surveying to find a high concentration spot to place harvesters.
In term's of havesters, BER 10 mediums are the most cost effective in terms of how many credits per unit of resource it'll cost you to harvest, but BER 13 heavies are what I would recomend you get if you can afford it.
If you have the skill points available, I'd also recomend you pick up the Surveying IV skill, this will get you that nice 320m range which speeds up the process of finding a high concentration spot to lay your harvesters down on.
If you plan on doing a lot of your own harvesting, it might be worth spending some credits to pick up some 0 power harvester kit's from your servers trade forums. These kit's save you from needing to harvest (or buy) power to keep your harv's running, though you'll need power to run your factories, but they don't take too much.
Resources are *the* most important item that goes into making high quality weapons, so it's important to keep a close watch on what's currently available, and as the resources shift regularly it takes a bit of work to keep on top of it, but it's definitely worth it in the end.

Thanks for your help. I thought i must be doing something wrong but couldnt work out what. Ill get a private station and see how that goes.
