I understand the basic concept that a higher accuracy bonus via the use of scopes increases your likelihood to hit the target, but is that acc bonus stacked on your accuracy with that particular weapon type and is it relevant to the acc bonus of your target? I thought I remember reading that you do greater dmg against a target with lower accuracy.
I guess what I'm trying to figure is how to quantifywhether it makes sense to max out the accuracy on scopes despite the tradeoff for a slightly slower weapon. I've been using .06 spd +10 scopes but have started playing around with other scopes and came up with a .46 +15 and a .94 +19, so the difference as far as accuracy winds up being either +12, +17, or +19 for the respective versions. It seems the speed tradeoff is pretty minimal given a higher likelihood to hit but it's hard to evaluate that without knowing whether that acc bonus translates into a 2% vs. 20% (for example) greater likelihood to hit.
What do you guys think?
