I promised myself i wouldn't post anything on these boards having to do with the GCW, and this is far from that type of post. We as bria's community have a serious problem on our hands andI ask you all to set aside your differences with everyone else for a moment and just read and take in what is being said.

Today, Acker a weaponsmith in CoS and upstanding member of the Weaponsmith Community, was maltreated in such a manner, that he has decided to delete a character that he has worked very hard to create, work up to the caliber of a high end crafter and taken pride in his job as a weaponsmith.

Acker, creating a very nice geno pistol this week that joubei showed pics of in his post, submitted a bug report ticket, reference number 1719063, when he created some crates of DX2's displaying a max damage on the crate of 161 and then when he pulled an item from the crate the item only displayed 98 max damage.

After submitting said ticket, he went to the open chat in the launchpad and asked for assistance from a CSR in the general chat room. He was in turn told "his weapons were probably too powerful and therefore nerfed upon coming out of the crate and that the game was working as intended".

First of all 161 max damage on a DX2 non krayt is NOT overpowered. Secondly, Acker having been a weaponsmith since the first month of this game has dealt with and gotten past alot of crafting issues in the past and moved on to become even more successful at making some of the finest weaponry on the bria server. Why oh why someone tell me is a CSR able to treat a long upstanding customer with such disdain and disconcern when this person is the example of what most crafters should be working by. Honesty, Reliablity, Pride in Craftmanship, hardworking and even tempered. Customers should not be treated in such a manner and it's a shame that someone of his standing should be treated as such.

For the rest of us now left searching for a good weaponsmith I say this:

How much longer will this type of lack of concern for it's customers will SOE allow to continue from it's underlings working our chatrooms? Why must we have to pay the price for someone else's lack of tact and ability to perform a customer service in a respectable fashion? This treatment is not right and you are still continuing to lost good players due to the lack of concern for those that have been faithful, patient, dealt with bugs, problems with coding and nerfs up until this point with integrity and endurance and the ability to adapt! Please do us all a service if you do nothing else apologize for the transgressions of your hired help and work on resolving or retraining your CSR's to be more empathetic and sympathetic to your customers requests, questions and complaints. You aren't just losing one account here as acker had several to support his harvesters, his homes and his factories to support the one character in the game that he loved to play, his weaponsmith. Someone please make this right!

What? That it? He is quitting the game because of an uninformed comment by a CSR?

I don't mean to be a jerk here, but your friend Acker should just grow a thicker skin and get over it.

... he deleted his character because of the standard response from a CHAT ROOM CSR?

That's all they ever say. "Working as intended." They don't know a damn thing about anything but they go and say "working as intended" anyway, because it lets them avoid having to do work.

The CSR was dumb, as all chat CSRs are, and your friend is dumb for believing something that came from the chat room.

As I understand it, he didn't quit because of that one answer. He quit because of the repeated display from SOE how much they respect us customers and how much they care about us. It's not what this guy said. It's that SOE takes millions of dollars from us each month, and does not care to provide any form of service for that money. And he probably has decided that those guys just don't deserve his money anymore. And while I am sorry to see him go, I can totally understand him. If I interpret his actions right that is...

I have a similar message.

I have a small consortium on Corbantis. A Weaponsmith, Architect, Tailor, Artisan shop, going since week 2. I Checked store status on 3/5/04, 219 days remaining. 3/12/04 store is gone. Ticket submited. CSr responds (paraphrasing, I am at work) "If you don't pay maintenence, your house and all items will be destroyed. While I understand your frustration, there is no option to restore your items. Please delete this ticket before you log off".

I wasn't being mad, abusive, or incensed. To be honest, I was still in shock. With the help of an awesome bunch of guildies, I am gonna try to rebuild before my subscription expires, but as any seasoned crafter will tell you, it takes a LONG time to get good resources. I have, at the request of others, emailed the executive officers of the CSR team. I have recieved delivery notification and read notification (3/17/04 11:51am MST). I uderstand that the SOE team 1) gets a LOT of these emails and 2) the patch was released this week, but I was wiped out, I'm still in the dirt, I'm disillusioned, and I am having a hard time logging in anymore.
