how many different sayings can there be? it's always been the stats of 1 tissue. don't think there was ever a time when it stacked.

Back to the orignal post no. Krayt tissues do not stack in any way shape or form. If they did everyone would be a riflemen working towards a krayt t21 imagine a gun with a minimum thirteen hundred damage with 1.0 speed lol

Yes, but that was a bug. I've sure you have heard the term "pre-nerf". That's where it comes from. Guns were never meant to have 2 power sources like some did back then. They either have a blaster power handler, or a projectile feed mechanism. When the FWG5, Scatter, and Launcher pistol had both they were totally over powered compared to the others, so the devs fixed them. Now all weapons have one or the other. So yeah, back then you could have an FWG5 with a krayt power handler and a nymenhanced feed mechanism, but multiple krayt tissues due to multiple power handlers have never stacked.

Interesting info. Thanks all I knew about them is what the smiths told me. Long time before I started smithing. Alot of them told me they used two krayt tissues one for the power handler and one for the feed. Obviously this was a good way to get people to part with tissues. I am not the only one who has bought the story on this. Most of my combat buddies have heard the same thing. Just goes to show how crooked some smiths can be. That a lie can become consensus.

I'd be willing to bet a more accurate statement would be: "It is sad that ignorance can become a consensus." Most smiths are not evil lying s-o-b's out the rip you off. If those people asked they would be told that tissues are not used in projectile feed mechanisms and never have been.

Many smiths will charge 2 tissues because the extra tissue is part of our fee for making you the weapon. So, someone who doesn't know better then goes off and thinks we are using both tissues in the weapons when we are not, and did not say we were. The smith did not lie or cheat you in that case. You do need 2 tissues, 1 for the weapon and 1 for the smith as part of the fee.

Now all weapons have one or the other.

The bow caster still uses both... wonder why now one have ever complained about that... of and the rocket launcher uses both as well.

i think what he meant by "stack" was having all 10 tissues stats add to the power of the weapon for a t21, or all the stats of the 3 tissues in laser rifles adding together.

as far as the fwg5 goes, it could never take 2 tissues. dodece was right in that it used to take both a feed mechanism and a blaster power handler, but the feed mechanism could never take a krayt tissue. the tissue would only fit into a power handler. why ppl say that post-nerf the krayt tissues cannot fit into fwgs is cos they took out the power handler component, the net effect of which is to remove the ability to put tissues into fwgs. before the nerf, you could however, put a krayt tissue into the power handler, and a nym hivelocity feed mechanism into the feedmech, thereby gaining 2 enhancements in the fwg which created a truly fearsome pistol, all for the low low price of 2 enhancements.

This is incorrect, feed mechanisms has never used any krayt tissues.

In weapons there is 2 damage sources for 2 different type of weapons, there is power handlers and there is feed mechanisms.
each has their own type of enhancers, power handlers has krayt tissue, feed mecha shas high velocity feed mechanisms droped by Nyms.

The guns took both type of damage sources which made it possible to stack the damage of power handlers AND feed mechanism.

but it was never a case of krayt tissue stacking.

True but to find 10 matching tissues and if I'm correct the 4 matching looted feed mechs. I don't know many who have that kind of money to throw around on a rocket launcher. esspecially considering that in a weapon that deals out that much damage already an additional 30 to 60 on max damage wouldn't likely be as noticable, speed wise maybe. But still those parts could be so better utilzed other places.

Ok thx for the info now i know not to use my low 48 dmg tissue in a T21 .. wait until i get over 200dmg on 11 tissues then before thinking of making a krayt T21 ..

So many responded so can ask something else meanwhile .. Weapon that have Metal as resource is it any different using steel, copper , iron .. or is it only the % on exp. that make the final result ? Did a weapon with steel and then with copper and have almost same stats on resouces was only 25 difference on the SR but did get more % on the exp. had around 30% with copper and 20% with steel at the start..

thx kyo

It all depends on the stats of the material used. Guns have a 66% CD and a 33% OQ. So after the required resources, you put in whatever works best in the generic slots. I think I answered your question. It's late and I'm not sure that my eyes are giving me the correct info, so sorry if I'm off
