My suggestion is for anyone who is new or low on funds, to get enough to buy a ber9 wind power gen, and a survey tool, and sell wind energy for between 1.5 to 2 cpu, on the bazaar. This is assuming you have some lots left naturally.

Also, you could buy yourself some ber4 mineral harvestors and mine grinding resources yourself, which cuts your cost by quite a bit, if you are patient enough to find a decent source.

You could do either of the aforementioned first, or both at same time if you can manage that. But this will take a few days time at the minimum, it certainly isnt instant gratification, but i have used this effectively on 3 different servers, and my friend as well has had success in this manner.

Hopefully it works for you too.

I took it slow. I made my own ber4 harvestors and just put a few down on metal deposits and the rest I moved to start stockpiling resources. I would save the good resources for later and use the crappy ones to grind out barrels. I would also sell some resources that I had lots of. Made enough money to feed the harvesters. I used one or two wind gens to collect power. Always had plenty. It is a slow way to master if you do not buy the materials, but I found it very rewarding. I tinkered with weps as I went up and learned alot I think.

Selling resources/power is one way to go and can be used very effectively to make a lot of creds very quickly. But I personally didn't care for that. I mean I'm a crafter not a miner. I'd much rather turn my resources into good wares and sell them instead of selling the raw resources... anyone can sell a lump of steel. What I suggest is find a nitch in the artisan market where you can turn a nice proffit. Credits may come in a bit slower that with raw resources but you will get more money out of the resources you have (and also be able to use more in your grind up the weaponsmith trees).

What artisan stuff sells? Well off the top of my head I'd say fireworks, weapon power-ups, and crafting tools. I wouldn't be suprised is there are many other items that are also in demand that I didn't mention. I used crafting tools to keep me going all the way up to master weaponsmith (I still crafted weapons but didn't rely on them for my earnings). The trick is to find out that is in demand and where. Some weeks I wouldn't sell a single tool in say Theed, but in Coronet they would literally be flying of the bazaar. After a few weeks the demand would shift and Theed would become a hot spot to sell.

That was a lot more fun to me than just selling a lump of steel. But do whatever works best for you.
