Posted in Ahazi Trade Forum with no sucess. Can you all please help? I'm sorry to bother this forum with this thread but I wanted to fill the order today or tomorrow. Thanks for leanding me an ear.

Ok, I'm a new weaponsmith and this is my fist character and I went straight to weaponsmith so I don't have much combat experience and espcially no commando experience. Thus... what is a good going price for Glop Grenades, Cryoban Grenades, and Imperial Detonators? They are in crates of 25. (I have an order for them, I don't make munitions for fun - cause they aren't! >.<)

Since I am new (less than a week as a WS and less than a month as a player) I don't have the best resoruces. I did the best I could and did have a munitions belt but these are the stats:

Glop:

Speed 3.8
Min 362
Max 1718
Radius 2.0
Wound 14.8%
Point Blank -13
Ideal +2
Max -42
Health 120
Action 50
Mind 21

CryoBan:

Speed 4.4
Min 274
Max 660
Radius 5.0
Wound 13.3%
Point Blank -9
Ideal +4
Max -40
Health 51
Action 123
Mind 22

Imperial Detonator:

No idea. I only have two factories and they aren't even done with the other two grenades but for the most part the same or similar quality resources were used.

It seems muntions are a joke on this forum, at least thats the impression I got searing for 'cryoban' and looking on the first 5 pages of posts. I would still like a real estimate of how much they go for. I have checked many weaponsmith vendors and none had any muntions for sale (can't blame them) and I don't base any prices off of what is on the bazar because it is so variable and I don't trust it too much (and for good reason). Thanks for any help you can offer! I tried my best to find the best place to post this. Sorry for being the n00b.

Untill FS grinding for commandos came around, my demand for munitions was so low that I actually dropped all munitions from my product line and sold my materials. So...

When lurking my competition's shopsand the trade forum fails to give me a clue, I tend to fall back on a price of 10cpu for 90% or better material (90% of material cap), and 5 CPU for worse. This can't really work for some of the hard to find rare materials, but since I harvest all my own resources, 10cpu insures I get a nice profit for turning around material. This usually ends up giving prices way below market average for common items, but if I can't find itin Troll's, DyNod's, Twyst's,Ykkorr's or Krase's shops (fill in your servers big names), it's a good bet player demand isn't gonna push the price very high. If they sell out, start jacking up the prices. If not....

Since you claim poor materials, this would put a stack (not a crate) of

Non-AdvancedGlop Grenades at 455cr.

Non-Advanced Cryo-Ban Genades at 405cr.

Imperial Detonator at 1360cr.

In any business, R/L or Virtual: the way to earn money is this:

Sell your product for more than what it costs to make.

The only way you can do this is to understand how much it actually costs you.

On those grenades, I'd suggest making a s***-ton of them and sell them for a decent profit to those grnding combat XP for jedi.

Thank you both for the reply, they were very helpful. So far only one person has asked me to make some and having just started WS I don't have enough supplies to make a bunch more but I'll work on it.

IMO, you're probably better off asking that type of question on these forums. Asking you customers what you should charge them for non specialized weapons, can cause you some problems.

To make thiongs a bit easier for yourself when determining prices for your wares is this:

1 - Estimate the cost for resources, maintenance, and power, ifyou mined it yourself (your best option), or you bought it from a resource vendor

2 - Estimate the total value of your resources on the market.

3 - Total units used to make 1 item (remember to count all the subcomponents ingredients also)

Add this all up, and you can determine what you MUST charge to break even.

You can then determine a reasonable price from there.
