What weapons can take what powerups?

Can all melee weapons use melee powerups?
Grenades as far as I know can use all grenade powerups.
What ranged weapons use what powerups?
I know that pistols can't use weapon stock powerups.

I ask because someone asked me yesterday if a flamethower could use a powerup since they tried some random powerup and it didn't work. Thanks for any help. I couldn't find anything that talked about this.

Please ignore this post. I thought my previous post on this subject didn't work but I just didn't look down far enough. I did get a random redirect after posting it so I was confused about that. Sorry for the double post.
