Thread: Some questions regarding Enhanced Pistols

Hi guys,


Forgive the ignorant questions - but I am not a weaponsmith so I have no idea about the answers.....


1) I already have 2 DE-10 yellow barrels and schematics and have just got hold a set of 5 88 damage krayt tissues - so first question, what sort of statson my DE-10's can I expect from these?


2)I am looking to get a nice Geo pistol as well - I would like the max damage to be over 300 unsliced. I know I need the cubes, but how many and what sort of stats should I be looking for to get the damage I want? And apart from the cubes and schematic, do I need anything else?


3) Is it possible to enhance a DX2 pistol, and if so what would I need? I have never seen one of these, but I love using my normal DX2 and would love to have one with higher damage.


3) Final question, to get a krayt enhanced Rep Blaster, is it 3 tissuesthat Ineed the same as for a DE-10? (one for schematic, 2 for power handlers) and do I ned anything else?


I would really appreciate any help on the above questions.

1) Dunno cos you are using yellow barrels..these have hidden stats so you wont know till you use them.

2)With those tissues you have you should be able to get a Geo with 300+ unsliced.My Geo's on Infinity with green cubes(these dont affect damage outcome, only condition) are 221 max...so that would be 309 with the Krayt boost.However you will need all your tissues to do this (1 for schem...4 for gun)

3a)need 5 tissues for a krayt DX2...could also use a High Velocity blaster pistol barrel(loot drop,or theme park reward)

3b)yes...could also use High velocity blaster pistol barrel which would add an extra 5 damage over a regular advanced barrel.



Just a note : you will get a crate of 4 krayted powerhandlers from those tissues, this will be enough to get both your DE-10's crafted.Many a time customers have given me only what they heard was minimum required number of tissues for a weapon when it would of been wiser to have made a crate of the whole set.

Thanks for the info mate, guess I will be having to look for some more tissues for the Geo and DX2 pistols.....


So I take it the damage increase for from the Krayt tissues (88 damage ones)will be just one 88 on top of the total, not 88 per Power Handler?

Yes..to work out final max damage just add the value of the tissue to whatever the craftable max damage is on a regular weapon..same goes for the speed modifier.

You cant apply this to your DE-10's tho because of the unknown stats on the yellow barrels which will affect the outcome.

1) You are looking at about 353 max damage using the 88 max damage tissues. The yellow barrel might push it up another 20+ damage but it might also enhance another stats like wound or ideal range.


2) Some nice yellow cubes(1 per gun) and 5 krayt tissue(4 power handlers) is needed for the geo pistol if you want to max damage out.


3) DX2 pistols are nice and they need 5 krayt tissue(4 power handlers) to enhance. The reason you dont see many of these is that the scatter is almost the same thing and only takes 1 tissue... so people tend to make scatters instead since there are not a lot of pure pistoleers who have lots of money to spend on krayted dx2's and weaponsmiths know they can get nice scatters that sell.


4) Yes republic takes only 3 krayt tissue(2 power handlers).
