Thread: Weapon Repair some observations
I have noticed that if I repair a weapon that I made.. I am more likely to get a "minor blemishes" on repair.
/knocks on wood
In fact.. (trying not to jinx it now) ... I have not had anything less than "minor blemishes" on guns crafted by me as long as the condition is 200 or higher. I repair a lot of weapons and I don't charge for repairs and I always tell the customer that it can fail and become useless... so I can't be blamed for breaking it. Most customers will /tip me after the repair and in big amounts if the weapon was especially valuable to them.
Now on guns crafted by others... there seems to be a 33% chance of "minor blemishes", 33% chance of "reduced condition", and 33% chance of "failure"
That being said.. a few days ago I had a customer give me a gun with 0/975 condition NOT made by me... so I thought.. heck it's worth a shot... and I repaired it for .... "minor blemishes" ... at first I thought WOW... that must have been a great repair... except when I looked at the gun... the condition was at -47/975 andMin dmg = 0, Max dmg = 0.
In conclusion.. warn all customers never to let the condition of the gun go below 100. Don't bother repairing anything where condition = 0 0/1000 is same as 0/50 both are pointless.
just my 2 cents.
