Thread: My #1 Issue, moderate successes
This is my #1 issue right now. Is this driving the rest of you upthe wall too?
I've made 50 attempts at something before I got a perfect. And actually, that perfect was on the next day, I gave up at 48. I'll normally try about 20 times before I give up now.
It used to be so easy, It'd take me 1-5 tries to get something perfect. With 5 tries being very rare. We are going to get it perfect eventually, whats the point in making us attempt so many times?
Maybe its a bug, maybe they want krayt weapons to be a little worse on average. /shrug
I havent seen any official response, maybe there has been one. What do the rest of you think about this?
Although I hate, no loathe, every moderate success I get........
I do not thing it should go back to how it was before, in which a moderate success was rare at best. Getting greats should be common, but not as common as it once was. I felt sorta cheated in that it was so easy once I hit master.
If they were to lower the moderate success rate a little or even revert it back to the way it was before, I wouldn't be upset.
But what I would truly prefer is to make a moderate success a success and not a moderate failure as it usually turns out to be. Stat's shouldn't be negatively affected if the term success is used in the name of the result.
Guess I'm just a realist, butno matter how good we get it as a weaponsmith thereshouldn't be a 99% chance of making a perfect weapon.
The one thing that increases my blood pressure faster than any other aspect of the game is when you've experimented the damage/speed line to it's fullest with nothing but great successes, but you've got a point or two left over so you move to Efficiency and *BOOM*, you get a moderate success and it tears up the damage/speed stats you had perfected....

We shouldnt have a 99% chance of making a perfect weapon? Well, that does sound pretty high. But what is the point in making us try so many times? I am never going to accept something thats not perfect, and when I do get it perfect, Im going to make a schematic, and factory produce a bunch of perfect ones.
And why would you feel cheated? Do you feel immersed in the game when you click a button and you get a moderate/great success? It just wastes my time. We are Master Weaponsmiths.

If you get a long string of mod success, try moving around a little to unstick the randomizer. It shouldn't take more than 10 tries to get a good one in the worst case, average is usually like 2-4.
Yes, I have tried everything, sometimes I will get a perfect one in the first couple of tries. Sometimes I'll pick up my station, put it back down, sit, lay prone, jump, run around. Should we have to do that? Is there any reason not to support this?
You can't really prove or disprove the stuck randomizer theory, but whenyou get 5-10 consecutive mod success in the same spot on the same item using the same methods and materials,it sure looks like something's getting stuck.
gauranteed a moderate if I did all my points at once the first time.
so, I have 7 slots for damage, put them all in, got moderate.
Put 2 in, get a great, then put the rest in, I can get greats.
This seems to be a change from a few weeks back. Other master
crafters (armoursmith and weaponsmith) have confirmed this behaviour
as relatively recent.
Oh, that and sacraficing a paralope before every crafting session.
