rumour mill at work here guys but there is supposed to be new weapons
one for smuggler, one for squadleader, a few new carbines etc
anywas i just wondered would it be wise to start stockpiling stuff for the balance or if the corresponant could let us know asap if we should be getting ready for a major restock

This will bein open beta and on test center for awhile before it goes live; so everyone who's interested will know what to collect long in advance of this hitting live.

uhm I have 6000 VK's and 4000 PH's and like 10.000 other weapons in Crates atm, what will happen to those?

From what i have read, the current weapons will still exist, but they are going to try and make the whole suite of available weapons more useful in certain circumstances. There is an excellent post on their high level approach somewhere in this forum i think.
I cant wait for new weapons to arrive, it gives me a new burst of enthusiasm for ws every time it happens... getting the right metals, searching for the schems and components, and taking em to market.... great.
There is no clue on whether the power of existing weapons will be universally changed or nerf, although I cant see how they could do that really... i think they are going to focus on the 'application' of the weapon and how it affects the target myself.
And the observation above about getting a good idea from the test centerexposure periodis true - we should all make sure we keep each other updated on outcomes from that eh?

TH Did say that all professions would be pushed further into special functions than they are now, and that they were looking at increasing the maximum range, but he isn't offering any promises at this point.
I have no delusions of one shot one kill, orof full concealment in PvP, but I'd be happy to take up something closer toa snipers roll than the spray & pray machine gunner I am today.Us rifleman can only hope...

Um I wouldnt be too shocked if some weaponstats got changed, but odds are they would be retroactive affairs. So they would just apply to your weapons. Plus if the professions get balanced we might expect a drop in people buying knucklers or PHs seeing as a group of six swordmen might be outmatched by a varied team. So if I were you I would start to look towards atleast reduceing the stock of prefabs now.
Rather then wait till its on testcenter when it pretty much becomes common knowledge, and players will rush to burn through their VKs because the new VK is faster, and their speed mods are getting cut.
