SAC is a bit high. no point having a high DPS Weapon if you run out of action before the target is dead.

As a rifleman, I would love it. Considering chef foods can really speed up your action regen for planned engagements like PVP and Krayt hunts, it would be great to have a T-21 liek this for those situations. However, when just regulalry hunting nothing beats a low SAC Adv. Laser Rifle.

around 100sac on a rifle lets me do ranged/placed macro for ever,

It depends on who you ask in regards to SAC...

I mean hell, not only does that go over the max damage cap a heavy weapon can go reach, but that SAC to a commando is pretty dang low

You know when it comes to SAC on a weapon, you have to think about who your target customers are.For a T21, a commando will not be using this weapon unless he was master rifleman also since I believe T21's are master rifleman certified (I haven't checked the cert. on it for a while, I may be wrong).

However, the other part of it is that some players know how to manage their action cost through spices, macros and tactics. Someone who likes to spam specials without thinking will generally not like a High SAC weapon. Someone who plays tactically will not worry about high SAC (providing it's not in the 120 range). So you really have to figure out who you will be selling to. If your looking to put weapons like that on a vendor and sale it to anyone, then You may want to lower the SAC. If you are gonna sell it in to a specific type of customer (maybe one of your regulars), then it's a good Idea to cater to their needs.

For me, the SAC on that weapon is not bad (especially for a rifle). I typically have all my weapons around 100 - 105 on sac and have a few that are 115ish range. I don't even need foods or spice for the 100ish SAC weapons, but I do need them for the 115ish ones. My jedi even has a 118 SAC saber and although his action gets down to around 10 - 14% often, there are ways to either regen it fast or keep it from getting that low, it just takes some preparation and understanding of how to use the weapon.

However, the most common customer is one who doesn't want to get into all the details of how to use a weapon. They just generally want to pick it up and fire. THese kinds of people will tend to gravitate to what is commonly known about the use of weapons and that's what they will most likely want. In the current days of CU that common fact is having a weapon with low SAC, in the early weeks of CU, they all thought it was DPS. So if your gonna sell to just anyone who comes along to buy your weapons, I'd say work on the SAC of the weapon.....but if your gonna sell to people like me who know how to manage a high SAC, then the SAC is fine.

After all, a 20% SAC power up will put that baby around 85 - 86 SAC.....since a 14 point Artisan can make a 20% SAC Powerup with -0% accuracy penalty, a high SAC like that is not bad at all if you have access to these kinds of powerups. I'm a 12pt artisan and I make 20% SAC powerups with about a -5 accuracy penalty.....and that's getting only great success on experimentation. However I do have some 1000 OQ and 984 CD metal though....great for powerups
