There have been some reports that using pre-CU "yellow" DE-10 barrels can effect the final damage cap on the gun... I think the post or two is in the damage caps thread somewhere, but someone claimed a 980 max damage DE-10 using an old barrel.

I made a DE-10 with a PRE cu yellow barrel and it went over cap (960 was the max dam on this) so it is true

Whish they would make things drop that made it possible to go over cap even if it was rare

I have also read a post, however, that the post-CU barrels have a SAC reduction built in of 6-8 points.

So I post-CU barrel will start you off with lower base SAC, but the pre-CU barrel gives you a chance to break the max damage cap of 960. Interesting trade-off...

What did the SAC look like on that gun, Summerflame? And what kind of tissues?
