Hi I had a 10 point jedi ws make this, I know flame and stuff. Anyways i gave her a 33 something damage barrel and 173 tissues, the outcome of the gun was...

415-1064

speed 2.62

wound 31.05

Base dps 283.1

Sac 83

I know ws's who have made these rifles with 150 tissues and capped sac as well as damage. I am thinking that she took my tissues and used other ones that she had.

I know im an idiot for not knowing about her being a 10 pt, Im REALLY bummed i put about 8 mil into this gun as well as hours of asking for barrels, posting on forums, and i just need to know if i was theived or what.

There are alot fo variables such as resources used, experimentation points and the success of the experimentation.

That aside, the stats do seem oddly low for what was supposed to have been used in the crafting.

I would say if she was a 12point WS she'd have been much closer to capping damage on that. And yes she could have had not top quality resources and may have gotten a moderate success or critical failure on it as well. I'm gonna say she didn't use different tissues(of course no-one but she knows for sure) but just wasn't the best WS to go to. My sugestion, in the future, go to a very well known 12 point WS, or one you know well, for any high end crafting you need done. I'd love to promote the "little guy" because I hate just one or two WS having +50% of all the business on a server, but if you bring the component/resources you shouldn't pay too much more for the crafting (100k-500k tops, depending on what is being crafted). Get a full Damage slice on it and you should still have a nice rifle.

Just to add my two cents in....

The damage is oddly low (even for a 10 pt'er). I think it all depends on how the WS crafted the sub-components (did something go wrong here?) with your 173 dmg tissues. Secondly, on the final build... how were the points distributed? Like one of the above posters said.. it is probable that the WS got a moderate success, etc when experimenting on damage. The thing about Trando rifles is... it is partially barrel dependant. If you get a high action cost barrel.. you need to possibly spend an extra point or two making up ground if you desire the 82-83 SAC weapon (although, I suspect only ONE point would be needed if you had a horrendous action cost on that barrel). So, for a 10 pt smith... you're already in the hole trying to make up ground if you're dealt a crap barrel... but even after all of this... that rifle should be in the mid 1100s w/ the resources on our server.

As a WS, I go all out when I craft something for a customer (and, of course, the weapons I sell). I make sure I get an entertainer buff, drink bespin port, eat the assembly cake, and craft in a research center. It's very very very rare that I get a moderate success. Most of the time I am dealt amazings (seems like 20% of the time) and great successes.

With an SAC of 83, that's pretty close to cap for a rifle. Looks like maybe the WS went for SAC first, then damage. Considering the WS was only 10 points, they could have fell short on experimentation points to finish out the damage line. A possible miscalculation on their part. Did you tell the WS to focus on SAC?

If the barrel was good and the WS had decent sub-comps... at most you put in 3 to efficiency to get an 82-83 SAC... then 7-9 points to damage... still seems fishy.

FS experimentation doesn't give you additional points to play with, but it does render moderates extremely rare, although still possible. I've never gotten a single moderate since getting just the first box, for example. It seems unlikely, then, that a failure or a moderate is responsible, if she truly had the the FS.
