Is one better than the other?
I know the yellow barrels are better than the white barrels before the CU, but how about now?
Are the new stackable ones better than the pre-CU?
Good question.
I don't think a ton of research has been done, but from what I've read:
Pre-CU "yellow" DE-10 barrels seem to have a chance to have a higher max damage. There's one report in the "Weapon Caps" thread that someone using a yellow barrel got the gun up around 980 max damage. Nice.
Not sure about the Pre-CU "white" barrels. But this is probably your worst choice, since they're unlikely to do anything to boost damage and unlikely to have the post-CU SAC reduction.
Post-CU stacked "white" DE-10 barrels seem to have a SAC reduction. There's a thread around here somewhere by Kregi that says the post-CU barrels are better because they reduce SAC by like 6-8 points.
I'd love to find out more, as I'm still pursuing my insane goal of having a really sweet ADK-worthy DE-10 crafted as my primary weapon.
