Thread: High Capacity Scatters
I actually sell both low sac + dam and low speed + dam weapons and the tendency I see is thar people have started to go more an more for low sac (which I have prefered for my combat alt all along)
What I am realizing is however that some situations require low speed while other require low sac.
In long fights low sac is vital because otherwise you will run out of action at the end of the fight making it much longer.
In short fights (especially against jedi who can heal) its a matter of dealing more damage faster than they can heal) and this is where the speedier weapons comes into play.
This is what I have come to understand form reading the boards, talking to costumers and during my own testings
Edit: Sry I got carried away and started rambling
To answer your question in short. Your weapon is fine and I wouldnt chance it unless you plan on stocking both low sac and low speed weapons ![]()

so.... only bother with them if I'm gonna sell both low sac and low speed versions?
With the right resources and enhancements you can have all 3 in one weapon. Capped Damage/Capped Sac/Fast speed. I was able to make some that were max damage 948 / 65 SAC / 2.02 Base Speed.

Yeah. Overall I've found alot of weapons (At least on the bria vendor search) Were high damage, low SPD. and HORRIBLE SAC. I'm taking 130's etc on rifles and at best 100's on pistols.
Most seem to still got for the all mighty and shiney DPS. For some weapons it may not matter -quite- as much. PFTs for example cap out at 100. But overall If ind even for grinding a low SAC weapon will do. Though in the grinding area. Alot of people dont care. And buy what ever is cheapest. God knows I've never cared much bout stats on my grinding weapons. Personally I allways bought what ever was cheap. PUPed the hell out of it. Used repair kits. And whe it got seriously borked. Nuked it and got another one.
Personally I've started aiming at the high end weapons on a budget area (As I dont have the money right now for all the horribly expensive enhancers on Bria). And I prefer to get SAC cap or at least very close to cap. And then dump into damage. Its rather easy then to dup any left over points into speed, and speed slice it if it's not fast enough for you. (Or use a speed pup what ever)
Ultimately everyone has their preference though. And I definately find alot of people look at nothign but DPS still. Even though it doesnt mean all that much (Especially if you cant sustain that DPS)
In my recent experience it has been low SAC first then damage. BH's like that.
Try to get the SAC below 76 first, then ask the customer what he would prefer... Damage or Speed.
The BH loot makes some nice guns... get them to bring you a stack in trade for making the weapon. I've made some REALLY nice HC Scatters in the past few weeks. All have been speed sliced and ADK'd by the customer. They seem very happy.
If you are making these to stock a vendor then I'm not sure what would be the best for the masses as everyone seems to have preferences in stats on a weapon. I only craft special orders for enhanced weapons, so my customers seem to understand DPS is not an important stat. It is your responsibility to make sure your customers know what is important. Educate them.
