I am one box shy of MWS, expecting to finish the last early today, and well, heres my question-

When I experiment, I can experiment multiple times if I don't use all my skill points. Well, if I use one point, then run experiment, then another, then run experiment, etc, will I come out with a worse weapon the if I use them all at once? There is no risk when I use one at a time, but when I stat usingalot, I get a failure percentage.

should I do them all at once, or a few at a time?

You will find that (at least with Master) you can experiment with as many boxes as you like in the same line of experimentation and the 'risk' should be 0.

If you start adding boxed to different lines in the same experimentation roll, you will see the 'risk' go up.

There has been much debate on how many boxes to experiment with and everyone seems to have thier favorite technique. FWIW,I tend to experiment 4-2-2-2 in a line...seems to hit "amazings" pretty well (especially with FS experimentation), but I'm sure this is just superstition

Another thing to consider is that if you get an "amazing" success, it applies to all the boxes you put in that experimentation roll, so you can 'go for it' by putting a large number of boxes in the line to experiment, get your buff, drink your port, cross your fingers, put on your lucky hat and hope for the best.

Good advice. This is why (instead of wasting too many resources) I get the best ones out there, spend resources worth for15-20 items and try to put all the experimentation in one line, get my buff, drink my port, cross my fingers, play my favorite song, light a cigarette, open a beer, lean forward and say "c'mon, c'mon, c'mon" and make a schematic for 1000 units if I ever get an amazing success

Going one box at a time is my favorite, though...

using 4 points and getting a amazing is the same as getting 4 seperate amazings. They all have a fixed % increase. But the chance of having a amazing while using 4 points or doing each point seperate is so much much much much much bigger people tend to use like 6 points for the first try to get that amazing(you get like 6x 1% bonus like that).

Thanks for the advice. But what I really want to know is if I use all 12 points at once, get an amazing success, would that be equal to if I use one point at once, and get an amazing success on all my points.
