I made two laser rifles.. both with identical stats basically.. except one was made with the high accuracy scopes.. made the same way..

Stats on one are as follows : both base.. 100 percent speed sliced

1st one

2.1 speed

488-1179 damage

17 accuracy

base dps 416

sac 82

2nd one

2,15 soeed

489-1182 damage

66 accuracy

base dps 388

sac 82

Does the scope with the high accuracy make the dps equation out of whack?? What am I not seeing, please help, ... thanks Ess'ence

But mathematically it doesnt add up.. thesecond does.. u take the damage , add it up.. divide by 2.. and then divide by speed to get ur dps figures. that works fine..

but thefirstdoesnt at all.. not even close.. so thats not it.. more help please !!! and all other weapons i have made work the same way as the first.. its supposed to make mathematical sense...how can it not work on this one gun???

It's the first rifle that dosen't make sense, base dps should be 396, not 416.

It's not that it's incorrect, but most of us here feel that it's not the way to judge a weapons usefulness.

Damage in the target is affected by accruacy bonus, yes?

If this is so the second will outdamage the first by some margin...

Hmm as far as I knew, the accuracy bonuses weren't added to the DPS calculation. If so, then ladies and gentlemen, the formula is wrong

Accruacy does not touch the DPS figure as displayed in the weapon info, but I know from experiance that AA/CA accruacy mods do change the value you hit for....

That is correct, but the displayed DPS on the weapon shouldn't be changing. I think we're both on the same page here.

Accuracy bonus does add accuracy on top of the modded accuracy even when the cap of the +25 gen and prof acc is reached by tapes. however it doesnt showup in the char sheet nor in the weapons dps.
