Thread: Scythe Construction Question

I'm a swordsman, not a weaponsmith, who has some questions concerning the construction of a scythe. I have the schematic and am gathering the resources but before I send all this stuff to a weaponsmith I would like to get a general idea of what type of weapon these resources will create, lets assume the weaponsmith only has 10 experment points.


Carbonite Steel: Shock 937

Phrink Aluminum: Shock 784

Geonosian Sword Core (4)

Min 45

Max 35

Speed: -0.672

Wound 24

Range 42

H/A/M: 6/8/9


I also have the schematic for the sword core with Neutronium Steel (UT: 714) but only white power cubes. Another question concerning the schematic what is a core enhancing unit, and where do I get them or is it something the weaponsmith makes?


Since this is a one time deal I'm trying tocollect and have made the absolute best weapon I can get, the problem is I know next to nothing about crafting a weapon and really don't know if what I have so far is any good. Hopefully one of you nice master weaponsmiths can plug in the numbers of what I have so far and give me a general idea of what type of weapon I am looking at right now and what I should focus on getting to make it better.

Well, I can't really tell you what the stats on that Scythe will be, but I can give you some general advice. The master weaponsmith you go to should have the best resources that have ever spawned on your server, unless they are a) lazy/incompetent or b) very new to weaponsmithing. It is unlikely that you'll be able to provide better base resources (note: if you've already done your homework and know for a fact you have the best carbonite steel and phrik aluminum, then disregard the above).


Since this is a one-time deal for you, I highly recommend that you take the time to get the best yellow cubes and solidifying agent you can loot or buy. You'll need at least three of each with identical serial numbers to make one Scythe. You'll get much better geo sword cores this way. Using some good yellow cubes and geo agent I madea Scythe with max damage over 340 (don't remember the exact rating) and 2.6 speed. The carbonite steel I used had SR 950, and the phrik alum had SR of 888.


Also, just an FYI,are you aware that you can reset the missions on Tat and do the Scythe schematic quest a second time? So when this Scythe wears out, you can get a second schematic and have a replacement crafted, which will save you a lot of money.
