Thread: So how long does it take to grind to master from rifle barrels?

starting from 0/1/0/0, non-stop grinding with 7 tools? I heard 8 hrs but then i said that to another person and they said that was not enough. Anyone that has done it could you tell me how long it took you.

You can't just grind straight through. you have to train periodically.

It took me approximately 11 hours spread across 6 days. There was a 3 day break in there somewhere where I had to harvest more steel. At first I started looking for people to train me, but it was taking a good hour to find a weaponsmith each time. So I camped next to a weaponsmith trainer in a quiet, low-lag, spot in a city and did my grinding there, and paid cash for most of my training.

With 5 tools I did it in 16 hours, including trips to the trainer.

ya i am grinding in my player city and there is a trainer right outside my door practically, so it wont be hard to find one.

sure you could do it real fast...you mitght not be able to move your wrist for awhile afterwards but its obviously do able....

If you get good spots for harvesters, it'll actually end up being cheaper to harvest the steel than to buy it off the market. Plus, you can start harvesting other needed resources like Link-Steel Aluminum, Plumbum Iron, etc.

weaponsmithing requires 800K+ xp to master from novice.


grinding riffle barrels at 94X per barrel, using 46 resorces of stell per will require aproximately 500K units of steel to get to master. i say 500 to be on the safe side taking into account the ocational "critical failure" wich will consume resorces without the XP gain.


if you use the macro from the sticky post "the penultimate guide to WS" you can make anywhere from 60-70K XP an hour on riffle barrels depending on how slow you set your pause toinput resorces.you could realisticaly complete it in 10-12 hours if you have all the resorces and cash for training on hand from the get go. if you dont then it will take significantly longer.
