i was on coronet, waiting for the shuttle to come, and reading all the massive spams... then one of the messages cought my eye, this guy was selling scythe scematic. i was wondering if the scythe is now craftable or is it just a scam?

Its craftable, but you have to get sword cores from the geonosian bio lab for it. The schem is also good for only 2 combines

Yeah its out there, I have made 4 myself for people who brought me the components.

Its not legally out there though. The components can only be obtained from the new dungeon which is not open yet. However it looks like some players are getting in by use of an exploit.

To clarify a bit... The schematic is currently able to be "legally" obtained. Unfortunately, the schematic calls for components that must be made using schematics from the now "closed, but exploitably enterable...lol" Geonosian dungeon which should be officially opened within the next week or so.

I' m guessing the Devs won' t be pushing any part of untested dungeons to Live from this point forward. Who knows though...

The schematics are real, like the previous post said. However, you don't need sword cores from the Genosian Cave. You need the schematic for the Genosian Sword Cores which can only be looted in the Genosian Cave. Then you need 2 identical Genosian Sword Cores from the same factory crate. I don't think the sword cores can be looted in pairs with the same serial number.

To make the Genosian Sword Cores, you need a GenosianPower Core which can only be looted. They come in multiple flavors (white, yellow, etc.).

Here is what the schematics are reported to need:

Scythe
60 Carbonite Steel
30 Phrik Aluminum
2 identical Genosian Sword Cores from the same factory crate
(relies on Shock Resistance)

Genosian Sword Core
50 Neutronium Steel
1 Genosian Power Core (loot only at last report)
1 Melee Core Enhancement (optional)
(relies on Unit Toughness)

The unfortunate thing is that even though the schematic is available, some of the components aren't. Some people have been able to make a few reportedly using some exploit, but I wouldn't suggest you try to take advantage of any exploit. Bad news.

Here are the wp for the Sword Core quest and the Cave:

Scythe Quest NPC/Hedon Istee (Mos Entha, Tatooine):: 1390 3198
Genosian Cave (Yavin IV):: -6316 -380

Actually both complete sword core sets and sword core schems can be looted. But I found the schematic ones are better than the loot dopped ones. Of course there may be some legendary ones out there too.

The loot dropped ones I worked with were like other enhancer sets, all the same serial number and with one marked in a yellow name.
