Decay. If you have died and it's fallen below 0, it's dead. Buy/make a new one and carry on.

k... it was the response you will get when your tool dies. I've seen forum posts about various crafting bugs.. So it's probalby related to the patch.
Might still confirm it by making a new tool and giving that a shot.
Oh.. one thing I noticed last night... I have a new BE who was 1/1/4/4 and got to level 2 tissues last night. When I went to pull up the masc scent or visual scent schematic, they were not even listed.. I was standing next to one of my food crafting stations. I verified I had the schematic via my datapad.. Was there.
Frustrated, I went outside and pulled up bot.. there it was. Weird.. At my crafting station in my house.. nothing. Outside.. no problem with my droid.

Heh. Maybe not the biggest... and you're not theonly one to get shafted by it.
Had some .very. unhappy customers last night, and I personally find it insane that this patch was so poorly QC'ed that it caused rampant server instability such that they had to break crafting to fix it (or had already broken crafting as part of it).
