Probably was a slingshot made using two 4 inch saplings about 36 inches apart. With three bike inner tubes on each side of a dish drain pan, that puppy slung about anything (including 1/2 cinder blokes) clear across the river. Actually was better than hoped for, since we were just looking for a great splash (ie: Depth Charge Rated).

That is a m@d slingshot! Did you use krayt loot or slice it to be able to launch cinderblocks with such great force?

Tough question

Even tougher because it seems you are asking for the best base stat weapon, non enhanced, not sliced. Even the best of weapons can be ruined by a bad slice.

All weapons seem to reach a certain cap when using just base components. Across all servers, almost every base weapon will be identical, give or take one or two damage points and about 0.2 speed.

The best example I can give for that is the 2.2 spd, 147 max VK. I've heard of some people getting up to 150 max, without a nym motor and near perfect resources.

Most of the weapons I make are enhanced, whether it be Nym motors, Nym Feeders, Nym High capacitors, Krayt Tissue, Spider Fangs, Gorax Shards, Geo Cubes , Geo Cores, the list goes on. Why not make weapons with enhanced components if they are available? They will be more powerful and sometimes faster than regular weapons.

However you live and die by the slice. Since all the weapons I sell are sliced, I've come close to crying many times.

Took all 4 of us hauling on the rope to bend that puppy to the ground. This is amazing actually. I have not thought of that time in many many years and it all popped out as soon as I read this title, heh heh. Now I need to figure a way for my son to NOT read this thread and ask for a Classified Weapon Schematic

I made a cdef rifle one time....it had some killer stats on it, i think the max damage was around 30 or so. I also taped a neat stick on the end that looked like a UB3R barrel. it rocked.

FYI: Every slice enhances a weapon or armor beyond its original build. There for there is no such thing as a bad slice. There maybe a slice you didn't want, but any imporvement is not "bad". Duh!

Vendor taken down because you have to invest skill points to run a business. Which I am out of. Sorry folks. I will still slice for you! Just let me know I'll help you out.

Slingshots.. HMMMMMMM

back at Texas A&M, there used to be two dorms about 110 yards from each other with a hedged courtyard in between. Miller and Leggett halls. We lived on the 3rd floor of Leggett and crafted a slingshot using surgical tubing and made some hooks outside the upper window.. These dorms were built in 1911, so they had nice, old, 2-part windows with wooden frames.

We had taped spots on our floor under the rugs and used to be able to have 2 baloons launched and the whole assembly torn down aand the windows SHUT before they landed.

We could hit within 5 feet of our aiming points.. which were all Miller water fight staging points.

Dang.. good crafting days.

110yards +/- 5 feet accuracy.

After the 5 months I spent as a Pikeman, and the absolutely horrid weapon selection for the class, I consider my Long Vibro Axe's to be my best weapon. Nothing really all that special([email protected], -25/-25/-25), but they are leaps and bounds better than what I used in the past.

Technically speaking you're correct. But what's important is the customer's perception, and in the customer's view a poor slice can ruin an otherwise excellent weapon. In the end-user's view, a 30+% damage slice is "good" and a sub 20% speed slice (or whatever) is "bad". The reason is because an unsliced weapon at least holds out the promise of possibly getting a "good" slice.

I used to sell sliced weapons. Any high damage sliced weapons would sell first, even at huge markups. But weapons with even good speed slices wouldn't move at all; I had to discount them below the price of an unsliced equivalent weapon to move them. In the end I decided it wasn't worth it, since I seemed to get more speed than damage slices, so I don't sell them anymore.

Actually, this isn't strictly true. Speed slices are king.. for very specific weapons. Particularly flamethrowers (before the great commando DOT nerf)

Good point. I didn't really sell heavy weapons, so that's probably part of why my speed slices didn't sell well.
