Was wondering the importance of Flame Thrower speed. I have an Alt who has been a commando for a long long time and I never really concerned myself with speed because I use the flame specials all the time and almost never bother with the regular attack. I always thought that the specials were set at a fixed speed and the weapon speed couldn't afftect it. But recently I have had people asking for flamethrowers with as good a speed as i can get it. Was I wrong in thinking that the flame specials were a fixed speed?

All specials, including Flamethrower specials, fire at a rate based on the weapon's speed. The speed delay for a special is a number that the game mulplies to your weapon's speed.

So yes, a faster flamethrower will let you use the flame specials faster.

I'm baaaaaack
And it looks like I'll be going again.
