I was Attempting to make a good stock schematic last night. I was getting results I expected, but kept trying several times trying for the nice dmg combo I was looking for. After approximately 10 attempts (not unusual).. All of a sudden, my initial crafted item was 1/1 dmg. !!! I could experiment it up to around 15 instead of the 35-40 I was used to getting.

I tried 4 more times to make a stock.. 1/1 dmg each and every time on the initial attempt.

I decided to give up on this until I had some idea what was going on.

Anyone else seeing stuff like this?
