Thread: HLR vs ALR... your thoughts?

Hello all, I'm both a Master BH and a Master Rifleman and I havea dilemma... I have a set of really good tissues to use but am unsure which rifle to go with. I will be conducting some tests of my own of base versions of each of these, but would greatly appreciate any comparative studies/info you can provide.


I'll post my own findings later tonight or tomorrow.

capped HLR does 1190 ( including elemental and has perks of both laser rifles and t21s its the best choice

Agree.


The HLR is a much nicer weapon due to the added bonus of elemental damage.

Don't remember perfectly but does the HLR have a slot for a scope?

Yup, basically it is very similar to the old LLC schem except they changed iron to Kammris and upped the siliclastic and polymer requirement. I made a very nice one with 95dmg tissue, came out 1060 max dmg (forget what the elemental was) and 83 SAC or so, came out just under 300 dps.

what do you mean? damage caps at 1150? or damage caps at 1100 and elemental caps at 90? or just the sum between the two caps at 1190 and there isn't indivual restrictions placed on either damage or elemental damage?

I can confirm the dam cap istn 1100 as Ive just made one with 1101 max dam


The elemental damage only rises very slow so I dont even think it can go to 90

Go for the HLR. Then head to Lok and shoot a few Nymfolk and grab yourself a looted ALR with ZERO SAC! grumble grumble There's WAY too many of those dropping and it's a crime the devs are letting it happen.
