Hey Everyone,

just wanted to see how every weaponsmith distributes their experimentation in the weapon and componets.

this is what i do:

Advanced Blaster Power Handlers

Fully experiment on Efficiency ( well acully till it his -8 )

Then the remaining points into speed.

This is how i experiment on all my required components.

And on the weapon itself:

Fully experiment on Damage

Then i usually either Put some points into Efficiency once again, or speed.

Any ideas if this is the best way? or what are some ways i can enhance the weapon?

(btw im 12 points )

-cheers to all

Seriously, there is no "best way". I seem to do what you are doing, focusing on SAC and speed on subs then Dmg/SAC on final builds. I really hate to experiment on damage on subs because I'd rather get 3 SAC bonus instead of just 1 damage.

Components I usually go for speed first, SAC second and damage if I really feel the need although I rarely do that.

The weapon itself really depends on what my client is looking for. If they want a balanced weapon I usually do 3 points damage 6 points for SAC and 3 points for speed.

For components, I get the SAC down to zero then the rest on speed. If I've got fast krayt tissues to work with, I try and get the speed to -2 and the rest in SAC. For the final build I do damage then speed.

Truly discriminating buyers will talk with me about the SAC/damage tradeoff and try for the final build to have SAC around 80, the rest in damage. But for vendor sales, most folks just look at DPS, and that's damage and speed.

Depends on your market.. I have some relatively low DPS (275) Laser rifles, but they are 1000max dmg and 82 SAC, they are selling like hotcakes at 200k a pop. I'm using pre-cu barrel/handler/scope though.

Yes, the pre-CU stuf converted really really well, particularly the handlers. I still have a nice load of scopes left (I'd run off 2 batches just before CU...one batch for rifles, one for pistols, which both converted the same) but I'm nearly out of barrels and handlers (and save the ones I have left for Guildies). So there's a drop off in damage and an increase in SAC with post-CU parts. It's not really that bad, though. The early CU rifles with all pre-CU parts sold very nicely for me too at 750K per. Now, with the flooding of ALRs from Lok, there's been a decline in sales of ALRs, even at a lowered price.

What I can't keep on the shelves are Beamers!
