Which i have no clue about yet,but where should we stop on damage and put the rest on sac or whatever? Is it a true 8% increase? I keep hearing different stories. This seems really bad for us too. All Weaponsmith can have teh same exact weapon if i'm understanding this right. Tissue won't mean much, since they can stop putting points in damage.,and rely on the slice to make up for junk resources or low level tissue. Maybe i'm just parnoid, but i think this just may ruin weaponsmithing. Even more than quest weapons. So the scatter will soon have capped sac and capped damage, with low level tissue?
If i'm completey wrong please inform me.
I guess the vision i'm seeing is that someone can buy a junk scatter pistol or whatever and get it sliced to a prime weapon.
So the new way of crafting weapons will be spend all points in sac till capped, then spend the rest in damage and speed. Then the buyer or crafter slices for damage. This seems game breaking to the weaponsmith profession. THis is going to suck, and quote me on it. Weaponsmith is probably done with, but maybe I'm understanding it all wrong

Tier 3 damage slice is only 8%. Thats not that much. And the higher the damage the bigger that 8% looks. Quality still matters.

you might like to know that even if you hit the damage cap with say... a 2% damage slice, you can continue slicing and it will raise your minimum damage... i did this last night with a capped heavy lighting rifle.... ended with like 525-1150 damage.... with 8% slice

I agree with you in so many ways rivvers.
The main thing that will change is that Weaponsmiths will loose most of their middle and low market if not all of it. Low and Mid level weapons are dropping often. With a few slices and PUPs you have yourself a decent weapon until you can afford the "Big Gun".
Weaponsmiths will be making the high-end, looted component, top quality resource, handmade items. If you are not rich, then the customer will have to provide all the components and some HQ resources.
A cap is a cap is a cap. Low SAC weapons will be what Weaponsmiths can sell in the long run. It will be pricey, but you have to make it worth the while of keeping a weaponsmith running without regular income from Low and Mid-level weapons.

hmm maybe im wrong but but u can win more damage over the cap, having more chance with critical shot. can't wait till it's fixed and i think it will be worth to make high end weapons as before pub19, cap damage, make low sac and get a level3 critical shot slice... tough i could be wrong and it will be a piece of cake
btw any news when it will be fixed?

How'd you do that? I usually get that the slice failed because it would put it over the cap.
