Hiho,
i read that there is a bug with looted components with a higher min dam than the max dam, e.g. sword cores or acklay bones. Some ws say that it is a bug and making weapons with these components is an exploit.
Is it an exploit if i use this components, but the stats of the final weapon are correct (min lower than max dam)?
Is there some official statement from a dev on this problem?

unfortunately they seem to make a habit out of non-serious issues to give little in any "official" info. it is considered an exploit to use such ites because the CSRs have set it up so you can send a ticket and have the stats reversed. however, many people use them anyway in weapons where it will not have much affect on mitigation (which is what makes the items an exploit). my suggestion is that you submit a ticket and abide by the "non-official" rules as a CYA tactic in case they decide to start taking action in the future. however, using a yellow cube 20/10 on a sword or gun isn't exactly going to break the game. basically, this is a judgment call only you can make, unless someone can produce an actual DEV posting in regards to these stating exactly what should be done.

I can sometimes make sword cores and reinforcement cores like that. The min damage and max damage stats for a sword core are just added onto the numbers for the final weapon. A sword core with 10 min damage and 8 max damage (for example) is perfectly valid. It just adds +10 to the min damage and +8 to the max damage. It does not result in an invalid weapon. I can't see how anyone could call this an exploit as it does not appear to be a bug.
