I mastered WS nearly six months ago but bided my time while gathering all my resources so I could debut with weapons comparable to the best on my server, which I've done. My vendor's only been open a couple weeks ago, but thanks to an invitation from one of the best WS's on Wanderhome to set up in his shop in probably the best location on the server, South Coronet, sales are brisk and player response is overwhelming positive, but for some reason I felt something was missing. The missing piece of the puzzle was provided today and now I know that I've arrived.
Player: how's it going?
Me: Fine, you?
Pl: you are a WS right?
Me: Yes
Pl: I was referred to you by X. I have a white cube and I want you to make me a geo blaster pistol.
Me: Do you have the Geo sonic blaster schematic?
Pl: No, but I have another I can trade you, the DXR6-b schematic
Me: Well, the DXR6 schem sells for around 50k, but geo blaster schem sells for 1.5 million or more, so that's not going to work
Pl: I'll pay you 100k
Me: The geo blaster schem only has 5 uses, so there's no way you can get one for 100k, and you would also want to use some yellow or green geo cubes rather than white and krayt tissues.

kay, can you come meet me, I have some stuff you want to buy.

Pl: Did you get my mail?
Me: Yes, I'll give you 50k each for theDXR6-b and E11 Schem, you can leave them on my vendor. The 25/25 sword cores i can't use as they are not of good quality. I'll buy them in a few yours when I return from Lok.
Pl: How do I know you are being fair/not going to rip me off?
Me: You offer the schems at the price we agreed on, in order for me to get them I have to buy them, that's how you'll get paid.
Player goes to my vendor
Pl:Hey, these f****ing VK's are 100K! I can get them much cheaper with only ten points less damage (I sell sliced). And you are selling DXR6-b rifles for 150k but you are only paying me 50k for the schem, that's not fair!
Me: I have neither the time, patience, nor inclination to educate you as to the reasons why I sell my weapons for what I do. If you don't want to sell the schematics to me that's fine, I already have several of each. I have been polite and respectful and answered your questions and your rudeness is starting to grate on me.
Player offers five items to Vendor
Pl: If you don't want the sword cores, I'll just sell them to another ws for a better price.
Me: I already told you I will not be buying them, nor doI think any other WS will be interested in them.
Pl: Fine.
A couple of hours later
Pl: Where's my money?
Me: I have not returned from my surveying expedition yet, I will buy them as soon as I return.
Pl: I have some Rancor teeth for you to buy.
Me: I'm sorry, I'm not interested in them, they are too slow to justify the added max damage and they have lower min damage than crated sword cores.
Pl:They are not sword cores.
Me:They are looted components that can be used in place of sword cores, but they are not good quality and I don't use them.
Pl: I'm getting a little tired of you telling me my stuff is not good.
Me: I will no longer tolerate your rudeness. Go directly to my vendor and pick up your schematics, I will not be buying them. I am adding your to my ignore list. If you attempt to contact or harrass me in any way, I will have you banned from the buildings in which my vendors are located.
If this is not evidence that I have arrived as a weaponsmith, I don't know what is.

I have not had that many really stupid customers. I guess that you south Coro guys get most of the noob customers.
Next time I get someone trying to sell my some crap loot I will send them to you *evil grin*.
I would not be surprised if he will contact me as well (send me a gmail with his name so I don't waste any time).
BTW, what do you think is the best treatment for people offering you crap loot or their old weapons at ridicolous prices on your vendors? Some days ago someone offered me a cdef for 10k. I have not made up my mind if rejecting or let it be on the vendor until it run out of time limit is best. Probably to let it stay on vendor since that will tie up their bazaar limit hehe. That would save some other crafter.

Congratulations welcome to the club. I've had to explain many times why thing are a certain price I'm lucky that everytime the player has accepted my word. 150k for geo rifle is a fair price as I assume Green or Yellow cubes have been used. People just don't realise you have to spend time accumalting the ingrediants and time to make the weapon. The Geo weapons require more time than most because you can only make very short factory runs 2 or 3 weapons at best.

Sometimes you get a "feeling" when someone sends you a message "you there!?"... What follows is usually unpleasant and if I don't know them and I'm not afk I usually don't repsond until they actually say what they want, and then they usually confirm my supsicions

Hey Bermag - I had read the "Questions You Never Ask a Weaponsmith" when I first started preparing for WS and have to confess that I was guilty of a few of those noobmaneuversincluding the dreaded "can I provide the resources because I want it to be really good" since I had my BER 2's and 4's working at the time. I certainly don't mind people not knowing the value of what they are offering as it takes a while for non-smiths to get a handle on what's good and what isn't. In this case it was the rudeness of the noob and his refusal to accept my assurance that I didn't need or want to rip him off. In fact, I use your loot buying guide to determine what I will pay for loot just so I can refer players to that if they think I am offering less for their loot that it's actually worth.
As for players offering weapons to my vendor, that hasn't happened yet but I remember seeing that in your loot buying guide and thinking that was kind of funny. Coincidentally, I was just at a vendor on your fine planet (ragnarock naboo) where a merchant had dozens of cdef weapons listed for sale, so maybe I should give you the vendors name and you can refer the player offering the cdef to him. Personally, I'd just leave the cdef on offer, since the last thing this game really needs is people putting more junk for sale on vendors.
