Thread: Confused about optional components...

I'm so lost.
I mostly make explosives. And a few pistols here and there.
Anyway, there are optional components for explosives, such as the Enhanced Explosive Charge Composition, Enhanced Destructive Pulse Channeling, Enhanced Effect Fragmentation Sleeve, and Enhanced Explosive Charge Shaping.
I've looked EVERYWHERE for these things. In some seriously outdated material, it said commando's could craft them, but that ability has been taken out. and I sure as heck don't have the schematics for them.
Are these optional components completely out of the game now? Or are they looted items? Or can some other profession make them for me?
God, I MUST HAVE THEM!!!

Oh, I checked that, and the FAQ as well.
Those are Kliknik Glands and things like that.
The items I'm talking about used to be components that players could craft. Not sure if anyone can make them anymore, or if they were taken out.
I listed the names of the components i'm looking for. they're nowhere to be found.
checked SWGcraft.com. It mentions them momentarily, but gives no information on them. same with that other site, with the name I can't spell (like alakazam or something like that). they're mentioned, but again, no information.

Most likely leftovers from when commandos was supposed to craft them

Your initial impression is correct. These component slots are leftover from when grenades were going to be commando-crafted. The "grenade experimentation" stat is also leftover from this iteration of commando and is useless.

I've been a weaponsmith for 3 months now, and I'll tell you that I've never found any of them. My guild prides itself on a very complete museum, we don't have those items. I was a commando and never had those skills. There is a rumor that some of them are devices that medics can craft, but have no idea what they are for, so you know they won't unless asked.
Sorry to be sor vague, it's just things I've pulled of the various forum posts. I wish this game actually did what it said it was going to do.

I've never made any of the consumable weapons, so I can't name exact names. But there are loot drops which can enhance them. Check the Loot thread which is pinned to the top of the WS forum.
