Thread: Whats up with the Weapon Certs?

Hey Folks!!
I'm wondering whats going on with the weapon certifications. A few months ago I had this problem then it seemed to go away but now its back. Whenever I try to buy a DH17 ( not snubnose) carbine, or even a CDEF Carbine I see the Certification is listed as NO. Seeing as how I am a Nov Marksman I should be able to use a non snubnose DH17. Anyone else having this problem?

It's a loot item that you don't have a cert for. It's not the same as the one that you mentioned. It's polished or something, right?

You are right with strange "bug" at the certs. they seem to be messed up. even with carbines 3 id would not show me a yes when i bought a dh17.
as for the snubnose dh17, i think you have the dh 17 short carbine in mind. this is no loot, and can crafted by any weaponsmith. hope this helps

check the weapon in your inventory, seems they all say no when looking on a vendor but after you buy it , it says yes in your inventory.
This has come up from my customers so i pulled the guns off the vendor( the ones that said no to him) passed them over and poof they say yes in ther inventory(exact same gun)

Hmm I must have a more persistent version of the bug than you have encountered Rad. I have on more than one occasion purchased a weapon I was qualified for with the NO cert listed on the bazaar in the hope that when I received it, it would turn to a yes. I have had no such luck. Every time I have a NO cert showing in the bazaar on a weapon I am certed to use, when I receive it in my inventory it is still certed NO.
Very frustrating, and surprising completely ignored by the dev's.
I think SWG just hates me hehehe

Hmm well it seems that NOW today, the weapons certs are behaving semi appropriately. They still list as NO under certified, but when they get into my inventory they are magically reassigned to YES. This is an improvement over a few days ago, but still I hope this gets fixed once and for all.
