Wow, this profession is amazing, and tough! I mastered WS for the hologrind and decided I couldn't just give it up without playing with it. (I did the grenade grind). I figured I might as well do my best to make some really good weapons for my two characters. Then I decided I could finally do the wall decoration with all the weapons. So I set about gathering the 33 specific resources (grenades not included) and it took me 3 months. I don't planet hop to harvest. I harvest what is under my harvestor. I lost those resources in my factory having forgotten to pay maintainence before leaving on vacation. I took another 2 months to gather the resources again and started crafting. As a tailor, the experimentation thing wasa new experience and I quickly understood the value of higher stats in a weapon and what goes into making that weapon. I considered tailor the best crafting profession because we don't need experimentation, but find myself enthralled with the concept. The guides on the sticky are great and my kudos to the authors for those. After two days of running components and crafting and experimenting and learning and seeing how my competition was still better, I'm amazed how you guys can keep this up. I'm sticking with WS until I get glowy, but I am definitely enjoying it and may have to have one of my newer toons pick it back up. Kudos to all you other WS who can handle the frustration of crit failing a krayt tissue weapon or others. I very nearly wanted to destroy my computer. So I basically just wanted to say that although I am not staying with this forever I AM enjoying it, and I now understand why you guys charge some outrageous seeming prices and now believe you deserve it.

My respect goes out to the poor Bio Engineers. They've got one of the most difficult crafting professions, a crit fail for them is a loss of hours and hours of combines/sampling/etc... and they get absolutely no love from the devs in their profession. They are one of the few truely thankless professions if ever you wanted one lol.

lol Its true! Actually I think what it is, is that until you play the profession, you have no clue what time and resources are required to go into such a thing. You look at a weapon that you just dropped 2 million on (because everyone seems to think thats a good price) and you wonder "WHY!?" Now I KNOW why lol.And while I do enjoy needing stuff from other professions, it can be such a hassle to require components from a master artisan or a droid engineer. I picked up architect with a character builder, and subcomponents need subcomponents! AGH! Or so it seems. Never for me! lol.

Thanks to this post some people might understand a little better on how hard it is to be a weaponsmith.
