Thanks for the reply. I will test out some of that tonight.

The one I tried last night I put half of my points in sac and half in speed on my subs.

On assembly, I experimented 5 points on damage and 5 points in speed and had to use 2 points on sac.

This gave me 2.4 speed, damage of 440-934, and a sac of 103.

I don't have any of the pre-cu stocks left. I didn't run very many of them before the change.

I could use some of your input on what to experiment on to make an advanced laser rifle or heavy lightning rifle like the heading says.

I had a request to create a rifle with a speed as low as I could get and still keep damage as high as I could.

The sac can be somewhere around 100.

I have made several attempts, but can't get the speed down very much without killing the damage or the sac getting to high.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Actually pretty easy to do assuming your using good resources and hopefully looted components.

On the components that are crafted you should exp on SAC, and then speed on any left over points. Don't bother with damage as it has such a minimal impact.

when you assemble the weapon you should now be seeing roughly 85 SAC(I think this is with powercells, add +8 sac to it if you aren't using powercells) which would fall well within your range. Now you should experiment entirely on Damage first and then speed, since sac is within acceptable ranges I would suggest leaving it alone and instead investing those points into the speed.

This should get you the maximum damage possible with pretty good speed depending on your components. At this point you can pick up a 12% speed slice on the weapon which is the most effective slice you can get currently.

For example a weapon I made using powercells (Advanced Laser Rifle) came out with roughly the following stats before sliced.

1159max

2.5 Speed(others I've made were 2.5-2.6speed, it can vary here a bit depending on how experimentation goes)

82 SAC

Once you slice that it ends up around the 2.2 speed range which is insanely fast for a rifle especially given those stats. If you wanted to play around a little bit you could max out the speed first on your components then put what's left over into SAC, it would be interesting to see the final results of that test but I don't expect it would be a very usable weapon due to the high sac costs and the extreme speeds. Experimenting on it in this manner wouldn't really impact the max damage since on the components we weren't messing with damage at all to begin with, but you will need to keep in mind where your SAC is at while crafting these, oh and I also use pre-cu stocks which have -20 sac so if you don't have those available to you then you would need to go with the first suggestion to get your sac to fall within the 100ptrange.

Anyways hope this was some helpfull information for you, it might help us to figure out where you could improve your rifles if you told us your current process for components and the final assembly.
