The first holocron told me so...

However I am Bounty Hunter now and I intend to finish it first....what are some resources I need to stockpile to grind out weaponsmith....especially those I could easily get as BH. Also, how long should I expect to be a weaponsmith for? Do you all make good coin? Telll me about it!

Thank you!!

No sweat, as a former grinder and now practicing WS with his own shop and finally getting a loyal customer base, I can give you one theory. It's the tried and true, finger clicking good method: Blaster Rifle barrels.

You get 120 XP for each one you craft...Now bare with me, this doesn't seem like a lot, but remeber you are only going to be using 2 resources to grind it out, so there's no need to spend a lot of coin on other stuff.

My advice would be start out with two BER 10 medium mineral harvesters and find the highest concentration of metal available, dont worry about quality because you are going to grind it away anyhow.

Take one harvester and drop in a spot with any metal...Steel aluminum, copper etc. Give it at least one day to run before you start extracting, this gives you a good start curve.

Take the second and move it to any mineral deposit and do they same.

Remember this, you cant make Blaster Rifle Barrels until you get Intermediate Firearms crafting, so you will have to punch out your first 35K of XP on metal staffs.

Once you reach Intermediate Firearms Crafting, take one of your harvesters and move it to any site with a high concentration of Gemstones and keep the other extracting metal. If you can afford the credits and the power demands you can place additional harvesters as well. Remember that you only need to concentrate on these two resources for now.

Now here comes the math: If you plan on grinding all the way through to Master you will need the following amounts of resources

You can make 18 BRB's for every 1000 units ofmetal and 90 units of Gemstone;

For every1000 units of metal you grind, in practice mode, you = 2160 XP

Tocomplete the Skilltree you need a total of 896,000 Xp (-35000 because by now you have IFC 1) So that leaves you with 861,000 Xp to go to reach Master.

Each Skill Tree requires a total of 224,000 XP to finish - This breaks down to:

104,000 metal and 20,160 Gemstones (per 4 level tree)

When its all said and done, you will have used around 425,000 metal and 81,000 Gemstones

And--you will have crafted close to 7,500 practice weapons.

I worked froma macro that allowed me to run 8 crafting stations at pause 5, this generated approximately 1200 XP per minute, unfortunately, the trusty "Craft 1779 Weapons" is obsolete, because the devs make it so hard to collect the necessary resources for making a Heavy Warhead. Dont waste your time with this because the spawns are sporadic and only last a few days, you will spend all your time running around dropping harvesters for minimal results.

I recommend Projectile Pistol Barrels until you reach Firearms I and then Projectile Rifle Barrels. There are other things that get a bit more xp per build but these have just one resource requirement - steel. Two boxes to fill + same resource means less moving the mouse and macroing the grind that much easier. Grab about 450k or more of grind steel and go to town.

Yep there are plenty of "best" methods out there but this is tried and true, plenty of WS ahve been down this route (non-holo grinders as well) if there was a better way we would do it as we actually need to make master before we can think about selling anything of real worth!
