Thread: Why are jedi now Immune to crit fails but we arent?

Apparently its unacceptable for them to lose thier crystal/pearl from a crit fail but its acceptable for us to
waste numerous looted components , and or charges of looted schematics.
This is horse**edit** and if they are getting this crap EVERY crafting profession needs to get the same aid.

im both a master weaponsmith and i have a jedi character, the jedi get the parts back from a fail because they are REQUIRED RARE LOOT COMPONENTS. you dont need a krayt tissue for a gun, but you need a pearl for a saber, they are two completely different things. if a jedi crits on a 5th gen saber, thats 4 crystals, thats worth at least 3 million credits and it is a required part for the only weapon a jedi can use. a regular player has weapon options, as well as slicing options, and can easily replace a weapon (in most cases, obviously the extinct krayt t21 is irreplaceable). RIS armor should work like the jedi sabers since it requires rare loot items, the upcoming geonosian reinforcement core should work like sabers since it needs looted power cubes, but a nyms vk does not need to be replaced because the regular vk is comperable to the nyms. the saber and krayt gun are not analogous, they are two completely different things with different circumstances.
btw TH posted that he will look into getting the enhancers back for all other crafting profs from a fail.
did i forget to mention that jedi initiates have +25 to saber assembly, knights have +50 and guardians have +100? do you know how long it takes to get to jedi guardian? and we weaponsmiths have +110 (mon cal or rodian) most of the time at the master box and the grind can be done in two days by a highly motivated player.
do not accuse me of being a holosmith, ive been a WS since september and wouldnt surrender it the whole time i was grinding professions.

I don't know about your server, but crystals go for about 150,000 - 300,000 a piece on ours. Then again, our server is the one with that house with the giant stack of crystals

Architect is also immune to crit fails. Personally I think it was a necessary change.

I'd rather see critical failures dropped from the game altogether. WoW isn't going to have them.

More Crit Fails...
Less Moderate and Good Successes and more Greats and Amazings.
Seriously. I would rather Crit Fail than do 2 moderates .. because I will have to destroy it anyways.

crystals on chilastra are selliing around 750k unappraised, ive seen them go as high as 950ki
this change has nothing to do with 'jedi whining' and everything to do with fixing a flawed game schematic
oh and WoW will have no harvesters, no factories, no vendors, so think about what being a WS in SWG is like before you try it on WoW, have fun

You should definatley get Krayt tissues back, they are alot harder to get hold of than crystals, which drop off meatlumps! Pearls on the otherhand I can understand. The value of them is irrelevant (anyone can get a crystal themselves for free), they are only expensive because evreyone knows jedi want them, the issue should be how hard they are to obtain in the first place and krayt tissue and pearls are essentialy the same in this respect. I went krayt hunting the other day and killed 4 Krayts in a row (with large group of course!) we got pearls off 3 of them and tissues off only one. Jedis good for you, but dont say the same shoudnt be done for other professions. Just my opinion.
