You have to be next to one of the large crafting stations to be able to bring up schematic

Some items require you to be in front of your own Personal Crafting Station. The Public ones are good for most items, but a few require a Private station you can buy from an Architect.

If you have another profession with alot of schematics, you may be overwhelming your datapad. Try the 'change view' button at the bottom, so that the schematics show up as a list instead of rows of icons. At one point, I was master bio engi/weaponsmith/tailor and I had a similar problem.
(edit: that's (master bio engi)/weaponsmith/tailor, not master in all three.

i have it in the draft schematics, but it doesn't show up in the crafting tool, i will try the private crafting station thanks guys
