Thread: Whats the correct way to experiment on Advanced Weapon Stocks?

I was able to get the max damage of 36/36 out of a previous schematic of these, but I got some better resources and I'm having a hard time remembering how to put the points in. One at a time results in poor stats. I can do 4/3/3 and get better. Whats the secret to these?

Six all-at-once and then the remaining bulbs all-at-once or two-at-a-time.

Thanks, that seemed to work. I got 40/40 instead of 36/36 by doing only 1 or 2 at a time.

Here is what I do...


I first experiement with max first to see. Then slowly go down one by one until the amount gives me a steady "Great Success" rate, rather than the moderate success rate.


Usually it is between 5 bar at a time. Then just keep doing it until you get the stat you want.


I had 40-40:0.661 a few times. Damage is nice, but speed sucks!


I got once the 37-39:0.321 which is better. One less damage, but much better on speed. So basically dont try to always go for damage. Make you the speed is good too. The one or two damage exchange for speed is better bet.

How high is the SR on the wood you use for the 40-40 stocks? I haven't been able to hit that high yet I don't remember what I got off the top of my head but I know it's only in the uper 30's my corellian desiduous SR is like 555; not stelar but could be much worse.

Stats have no bearing on the stats of the Stock, because experimentation is broken.


I could be using 100 SR wood, you could be using 700 SR wood; we both will be able to get 40/40 stocks.

well kinda... the SR on the wood determines the final wounding, accuracy and ham costs... the speed and damage are independent due to the bugging... 531 SR wood gets me 40/40 -.3998 wound 9 accuracy 29/29/29... 668 SR wodd got it to 40/40 -.399 10 wound 10 accuacy 28/28/28... both of those were experimented 6 +3 +1 (great, amazing, great)... but i know i made around 100 stocks before i got the usable schematics on them... making a stock for accuracy is much easier and isn't bugged... just the speed/damage side is...

I did 6 boxes for 30 tries. The best I could get was


38-38, .4222 (29 HAMs)


I did 7 boxes at first.. then one at a time after, in 15 tries I got..


40-40, .521 (29 HAMs)



Heres the thing though. When you do 7 boxes, you know right away if its a hit or a miss. It will be a Great Success, and both numbers will be 39 or 40, nothing in between. You can get moderates for 39-4.. but keep doing it until you get a Great Success, and both numbers are 39 or 40, then the rest of your points one at a time bringing the speed down from .8555 to .521


Good Luck! Took me about 30 min total.

hmmm, curious, I gotta try this...best I can get is 38-38, 4.2 or so....had no clue it was bugged, thought it was my SR noomber...

HmmI didn't know the stupid stocks were bugged. Guess that's what I get for hardly ever using the dang things. Normally they just aren't worth it imo. But now I've going to have to make some 40-40 just because I never have..
