Thread: Selling low level weapons Is it possible? Suggestion.
Hi,
Anyone still able to sell low level guns? I has a feeling that this ended when the first master WS showed up oneach galaxy. why buy crap when you can use high-end weapons almost from the beginning? To me it looks like that people only buy there weapons from Master WS, can´t be right that everything else is so useless?
I sure hope the devs is aware of this, or it is just memaking a big deal about it?, then im sorry. It would just be nice to have a chance of selling your stuff along yourway to become a master WS.
The only way i can see to make this possible is a harder level restriction on weapons. Leave 3 types rifles, pistols and carbines in the marksman tree, and put the rest ind the pistoleer, riflemman, and carbine tree. To further improve this, you could make som kind of point system soa new novice marksman can't use for eksampel a scout pistol with has been made by a WS with weapon experimentation 3. This is just an Idea, how to make it more fun to be and become a WS. And i think this would be helpfull to the SWG economic as well as you would get more sales of weapons.
Another little thing is i would like to see the Repair tools to be a master item, as i consider this to be a very powerfull tool, it enhances your lifetime of you hard earned gun many times.
And finally it would be nice to get some overall bonus points for being a master artisan.
Thats it from me, hope you all agree, and the devs atleast would read and consider these suggestions.

NOPE, i've been running around with 2 dozen slightly better than OK weapons.
- Scouts 50-110 speed between 2.0 and 2.6
- Dll44's up to 130 dmg, 6.0-6.9
- fwg5 (dont know the exact speed and damage)
- e11's
- dh17's
And basically, I cant sell any of them. If i tells omeone te e11 is 6k, they run away.
I went to anchorhead in the hopes of peddleing, and i went through a 20 minute /tell with some guy asking for an sg88 rifle. I said i needed the codoan copper for it, otherwise i couldnt make it. "OK, what if i give you the copper to make it, how much would it cost"
I tell him i would buy the copper off him, then the rifle would cost him 10k (I AM trying to make a profit). He then tells me "Why would i pay you 10k when i can get a Jawa Ion rifle for 200 credits?" I asked him why he was wasting my time then, and ignored him from then on.
There is an oversaturation of people selling guns on the bazaar at a loss, and people wont buy anything not made by a master at a reguilar price.
I'm a Fairly new Master WS. I have my vendor stocked with some pretty decent Master Level FWG5's (not all advanced, but pretty good nonetheless) for around 6K to 8K each, Master Level Scout Blasters for 1K each, an EE3 Carbine, a Laser Rifle or two, a Laser Carbine or two, about 10 LLC's (394/727/5.1) for 7K each, 3 Krayt FWG5's at around 52/218/1.7, and like 17 Rocket Launchers (1210/3585/7.9) for 35K. Ok, after I stocked this vendor with all these weapons, I sent out e-mail to all of my Arch clients (I'm a Master Arch also), all of my friends, and all of my suppliers. The Krayt pistols sold faster than I could blink. They were ALL gone w/in about 30 mins. On top of having all these weapons, I had about 20 crates of spice (made bymy PA'sMaster Smuggler)and about 10 crates of Air Cake (GREAT for helping to get on a full set of Composite armor).
Ok, now I know for a fact that at least a few people actually dropped by the vendor to look. I know that probably around 20 people got my e-mail (and a lot of them sent it to all their friends). Guess what, NOTHING but the Krayt guns sold (and this was two nights ago). And I have not received any feedback. Not a "this is too expensive, you need to drop the price." Not a "I can get a rocket launcher with better damage and more charges for less money." Not a single complaint, not even a single question past "can you hold a krayt gun for me?" I now have something like 50+ fairly nice weapons up on my vendor now (if not more...maybe close to 60 now). These are the weapons that sell too. If they were weapons that weren't popular then I could understand, but these are popular weapons (at least on Naritus) except maybe the Rocket Launchers (which i REALLY figured would sell better).
I say all that to say this. You're not alone. Even onceI got to Master WS, I can't sell a single weapon unless it's for a VERY good arch client that wants me to make weapons also, a PA member, Krayt Guns, or the occasional bazaar sale of a Scout Blaster (VERY VERY rare).

Well I expect to be haggled down, so i start high. I Guess too high will scare people off.
Also, I don;t actually know how usefull it is, but its from a higher level skill, so i fugured it's more valuable
I am a new Master - about a week now. I don't have all the uber metals that have been on the server since 0 BC, so my guns just cannt be quite as good as the old Masters'. Selling the blasters is proving to be a big pain, unless they are Krayt enhanced. I am currently moving more into Munitions and Commando weapons, since it seems that the guys playing on the server forever have neglected that market.
Ihave also come up with the following strategy (I am not sure if it worked yet): I put some DL44 and DL44 Metal pistols and the same level carbines and rifles on the bazaar for cheap - 500 to 1000 credits. I made them using regular, not advanced components. I put them on a premium sale, decribing them as I would to a new player and put the coords of my shop in there. Hopefully, the new players on the server looking for these guns pick them up and make a note of my shop and maybe I will have clients in a motnh or so. About 10 of these weapons were gone in 3-4 days. Granted, the profit is not much, but these are basically just advertising freebies. Anyone can plow through Pistols I in a day and then they can buy a Scout Blaster....
Well I'm an expert weaponsmith, and I move about 15-25 low to medium weapons on spacific Bazaars that are'nt full of weapons, for about 2000 to 3000 credits each. the key was to grind out the experimentation boxes first so that these low end weapons are worth it to use. There are always newbies and players switching professions. I don't make a fortune but it's not bad.
I also found out (a little late) to keep my eyes out for those rare resources for use in high end weapons.

Im on Sunrunner and am currently 4/4/3/4, and basically just too tired of grinding to sit there for another hour and grind to master. I make and carry afew crates each ofDLT20a's and DH17 Short Carbines to sell on the bazaar for 2.8k and 2.9k each. Im based out of Moenia, but any newbie city I stop in I drop 6-8 weapons on the bazaar. I generally sell about 10 of these things a day. Which is enough to run my harvesters, factories, and houses.
I have Advertising III, which isnt as helpful as it used to be, but I generally get about 4-5 vendor sales a day when my vendor is fully stocked. Im not making a killing but I have everything I need. My bank account is steadily increasing, especially when I pull my harvesters in for a few days. Im now saving for a fleet of Heavies to drop on those few rare resources I still need.
There is money out there, and it seems that a lot of MWs in my area either dont bother making the little stuff anymore, or charge such a huge price for such a small change. Unfortunately, it seems that WS is one of the few viable crafting professions out there, so there is going to be a lot of saturation in the coming months.
Good Luck!
I'm currently 0-2-0-3, soon to get 4th techs. I have a vendor stocked with 30 weapons ... scouts, DH17s, DLT20s and DL44s. I price the best I can make at about 1500 ... so far this week I haven't sold a single weapon. Last week was better... sold about 1 gun per day. This week have been realy bad, I have a General Store vendor as well... hasn't had any sells here either. Last week was better.
I also put weapons on the Bazaar. I sell about 1 blaster per day here. I put them out for about 1000 credits. Lower price = faster sale. I also make Combat staffs and Heavy axes.. these sells very well... 2-3 per day. Price about 500. There aren't any good quality of the stuff out there, so my weapons of this kind are the very best.
Usually everything I put on the vendor sells. Gives a little money to support the maintaince. Together with some missions I can break even, or stay positive.
I had originaly only planned to make blasters but there seem to be a demand for melee weapons so I might get the melee branch as well.
I have a crate of sub-master FWG5's and DLT20a's if anyone would like to purchase them for cheap. I sell about 3-4 a day at 2500. You have to be careful with your pricing. You go too low and people will think something is wrong. You go too high and keep them on a vendor in your shop and no one will come.
Make it convenient for the newbies and you will sell guns. Remember most new people to the game want an entry level pistol and don't know anywhere better to go to than the bazaar. Once I hit Tech 3 and Firearms 1 I no longer had to run missions. And, yes, I missed the opportunity to be one of the first Master WS's. There were already many about when I started up the WS tree. As a matter of fact I lived next door to one of the first Master WS's on our server.
