I don't believe this would be possible. CDEF blasters don't use power handlers or sub-components of any kind. In fact, they are Artisan items, not Weaponsmith items.

If you're a weaponsmith, you should pay more attention to what your clients do with the weapons.

I'm a bounty hunter, my only use for a carbine is to KD my opponent. To do this without murdering myself (it's a special attack) I either have to A: use a powerful carbine and heal myself or B: use a CDEF then switch to a real weapon.

This is why I asked about a Krayt CDEF. If one could have been made, it'd allow me to do a bit more damage with the carbine if I don't have time to switch weapons.

This explaination might've been plausible before the KD/posturechange timer but now I find it laughable. If you have to heal yourself after using 1 carbine special per 30 seconds you need to seriously examine how much armor you're wearing, and your substats. Besides, a DH17 can be had with very very low HAM costs while still doing decent damage at a decent speed. Much superior to a CDEF, and even better, you can use krayt tissue in it.

Perhaps before lecturing me on what my customers may or may not want YOU should examine what other weapons are available?

Without BPH or ABPH subcomponents there's no way to use krayt tissue on a weapon. So no, you can't make a CDEF with it...but then why in god's name would you want to, biggest waste of krayt tissue I've ever heard of.

Laughable? Just because you're a carbineer doesn't mean you can lecture me on what MY specials do or don't do.

As a matter of fact, I get multiple KDs using underhand shot and fullautosingle1 in tandem, but I have to do it in groups of at least 4 specials... hence the cost. DH17 is a workaround, and I actually own one. However, it does only slightly less damage to me than my las carb and does significantly less damage to marks/mobs.

it sounds like your dh17 has a stock on it, get a stockless and you will see hams equal to a scout blaster.
