Thread: Pre-Nerf FWG5s...
Seems to me that some people are making a lot of cash off of so called "Pre Nerf" FWG5s where the stats don't seem to be very "Pre Nerfish". I have seen some 59->203 @ 1.8 sell for 300k or more. In a post-nerf world I can make an FWG5 61->201 @ 2.0 unsliced (w/+20 Nym enhancer) and i sell those for 7500c, to me a real pre-nerf would be mid 70s -> mid to upper 200s on the damage range.
So I guess the moral is ...buyer beware.
I am not sure what server you are on Fatcheen, but the feeder mechanisms alone are going for up to 75K or more a pop in board auctions. Here is an example:

If you are selling Nym enhanced guns for only 7500 credits, I would say you are seriously underselling their value. My regular post-patch FWG5s with no enhancements sell quite quickly at 8K. I am not sure how much the enhanced guns are presently going for on my server, Chilastra, but I am sure is isn't cheap.
I not trying to be critical of your pricing, though I would say you should feel comfortable if you wanted to raise your price on them. ![]()

Yeah I should.
But I'm under this sick notion that I'm doing my part to fix the economy. I'm on Scylla and the economy is SO far out of whack it's not even funny. One VERY popular weaponsmith sells his sliced scout blasters for 25k! Too me that is about 15k overprcied....yet people always flock there.
Bah, I guess I should adjust my prices to the economy and not try to adjust the economy to my prices...
Just a word of advice, people will buy your weapons based on quality more than price. If you have played one of the elite combat class then you probably know its not hard to make 100k in a casual night of running missions.
I don't think your really fixing the economy by selling so low. No one person can makemuch of a difference in the overall economy. Your better served by charging a fair prices and using the credits you make to keep producing weapons.
But its your choice on how much you want to sell your weapons for. Try this little experiment out if you don't believe that pricing doesnt really matter. Put all your weapons at half price and see if you sell twice as many. Then price them at double price and see if you sell half your normal amount.

That depends on the slice, actually. Say you sell Scout blasters for 5k each. Someone comes along to buys 3 of them to get sliced (15k). Then goes to a Smugger to get them sliced at 3k per (9k). That's 24k and they may still not have gotten the slice they want. Why go through all that trouble when you could buy what you want for only 25k and you won't even have to worry about finding a Smuggler?

Yes, it is buyer beware.. however if you are implying that 59-203 1.8 is not "pre-nerf" you are wrong. Those stats are indeed pre-nerf *without* any type of enhancement whatsoever. I was making 60-206 1.8 and that was I believe the best our server could produce (there were a few others making these as well, or similar).
If you wanted higher pre-nerf, it required a high velocity feed mech or a krayt tissue.. but then again, it wouldn't be just a pre-nerf anymore, it would be a "Krayt Pre-nerf" or whatever.

That was the point of the thread. Just because that gun is "pre nerf" does that justify a > 100k price tag when you can make a "post nerf" w/almost the exact stats.
