Thread: Looted Blaster-pistol barrels ... one with green name... anything?

(Let me preface this by saying I'm not a weaponsmith, but I have search these boards for specs on looted items and didn't see anything specifically on barrels)
I looted half a dozen Blaster-pistol barrels off a Tusken the other day. Stat wise they all look the same to me, however one oddly has a green name (same color as looted weps with DOT bonuses and Clothing with sockets). The stats on the green one don't look any different to me then the other 5 white named ones but I held onto them (instead of just trashing them as I normally do with components) because of the one green name... Here's the stats:
Min: 7
Max: 5
Attack Speed: -0.76
Wound: 6
Ideal Range Mod: 7
Now, is the one green colored named one just a fluke, or is there something to it? Also, to my eyes the green named one looks like the same specs, name, etc. as the others - is there any difference that maybe I'm not seeing? Should I trash these all or are they worth seeking out a weaponsmith to making wep for me with or sell to?

The same thing happens with Nightsister Shard components. The first shard has a green tint, the rest are white, but the Serial Number on all of them is the same. As far as I can tell, it's a fluke. The only thing that it means is that there's a unique property on the item. With weapons, it means more stats than normal.

You can make 9 9 .92 pistol barrels if you have decent copper.
Green/yellow names means stats are above normal, which for pistol barrels is 5 5 .50 or something.

So what's the consensus? Do I trash them like I have most other looted components or is the speed enough that some weaponsmith might want them (even if for free).

Trash 'em, any weaponsmith who can make decent sellable weapons will have better barrels.
