Thread: MACRO: EASE THE GRIND
Tired of wearing out your hands from grinding? This is what you need to do:
Step 1- Disable "Crafting confirmation Messages." This can be done by un-checking the box located under the Misc tab in the options menu.
Step 2- Drag and drop a crafting tool into a toolbar slot.
Step 3- Create a macro that contains only the following lines:
/selectdraftschematic X; (where X should be the number of the data schematic you want to create.)
/pause X; (where X is the number of seconds it's going to take you to fill the resource boxes.)
/nextcraftingstage
/nextcraftingstage
/createprototype
/createprototype (these last two messages are doubled for good reason. Make sure you enter them twice.)
Step 4- Drag and drop the macro icon into a toolbar slot.
MACRO OPERATION:
Press the hotkey for the crafting device. Once it is open hit your macro key. Now for me I only have three seconds to select the resources before it auto-advances. You might want to try a longer "pause" when beginning the art of macroing.
I have not been able to "practice" an item yet, so it still places the item in your inventory... which will fill up quick. Last night I did a small timed test and was able to turn about 1,100 XP in 60 seconds crafting rifle projectile barrels. Downside- it eats resources faster than anything you've ever seen due to the amazingly fast creation rate.
Have any questions? Just place a reply and I'll personally answer them when I get off work.. I'm already late ![]()

Unfortunately I have tried everything and cannot get it to practice either. Interestingly enough, if I practice beforehand, then use the macro, it makes the item. If I then craft without the macro, it is still set on practice mode.
Draft schematics are number in the order that you learned them. You can get an approximate by going into your datapad and counting throught the weapons and generic items (excluding the stuff from a chem and food crafting tool). This will get you close to the schamtic number that you are looking for -- after that it is guess work to get the exact one.

To find the schematic number, go to the ctrl-D (datapad) and select schematics. If you count from the top, starting with 0 (slitherhorn in mine) you will find the number. You may need to experiment. My barrel powerup is schematic 13.
Another thing you may wanna do. . . have the macro select and open your crafting station
/ui action toolbarSlot 00
00=F1, 01=F2, . . ,11=F12, 12=F1(2nd row),. . ., 23=F12(2nd row)
Yes, use your data pad to find the draft schematic number. If all else fails try to input different numbers and see which schematic it brings up. You can see the pattern and can locate any schematic very quickly this way if you are unable to figure out the exact number.
As for the opening the crafting tool in the macro, I say go for it. I had tried the command /ui action toolbaritem1 but that command was wrong and is whyI simply cut it out of the macro. Take DrDave's advice and add the correct line to the beggining of your macro. After doing this, the macro will autolaunch all the way to the ingredients screen and then proceed after the pause has run down.
If you have any questions or are unable to get the macro working, please reply to this thread and I will personally respond. If you think that this is cheating, well, I'd say we are just taking advantage of a console based computer game. Remember the phrase: Work smarter, not harder.

my macro doesn't seem to be working
it reads
/ui action toolbarslot 02; (02 is my weapon crafting tool)
/selectdraftschematic 64;
/pause 5;
/nextcraftingstage;
/nextcraftingstage;
/create prototype;
/create prototype
any advice i never even see the crafting window pop up and after i hit the macro a i see a little mesage appear
crafting session has ended! twice after about 5 seconds
u might wanna consider ACTool,there is a small number of macro's for SWG there.
Just dont use them while AFK ![]()
I've been trying very hard to get this to work. I have written the macro numerious ways. How do I test to see what schematic comes up? I have tons of things in my schematics tab so I figured I'd try my luck and try to bring each one up.
/selectDraftSchematic <- is there a space between that and the schematic #?
I've tried several ways but it does not seem to work. How do you know when a schematic is even loaded.
I stop my macro after selecting the draft schematic. I double click the materials and hit enter 3 times. That's pretty easy.
Function key, double-click a couple of times, enter enter enter
and do over. I also have 3 crafting stations running, so I don't have to wait for item to be made to start again. The limiting factor is now harvesting resources. I can craft about as fast as 3 harvesters running 24/7. And that's not spending all day crafting either.
