got an identical set of 9 last night while killing rancors...

so .. question is.. what do they go into? i heard they went into vibro knuclkers.. if so i may go hunt down some droikedas on lok and get some vibro motors... see how good one can be crafted..

so my question to you crafters (especially on lowca) is .. how many go into a set of Vk's and how much to make one with them in it.. (or whatever weapon they go into..)

What are the stats on them. Unless they are above the base 5-50 they are worthless as far as I know.

Oh, I think they are used as replacments for sword cores. I'm not a weaponsmith, so I wouldnt know.

They are replacement for sword cores, and most of them are not any better than what a MWS can craft. AFAIK, they do not go into vibromotors (there's a different enhancement for vibromotors).

They replace sword cores (and possibly reinforcement cores). Can't use them in VK, and unless damage is better than 50 or so, a rancor weapon will be worse than a normal one.

What about 11-97?

AKAIK a standard 5-50 rancor tooth replaces a sword core, but is worse because it has a higher HAM cost (normally about 17). but if you can get higher dmg rancor teeth (9-100, ham 13) kind of thing then yes, you can make "uber" swords with them

i guess they are just average sword cores.. i'll doublecheck tonight..

I can't wait till my customer lets me make a sword using his 13-167 Teeth.

You're going to take a huge hit on speed and minimum damage with just about any Rancor Teeth you use. At least I haven't seen one with a good min dmg yet.

well.. i had a 1h curved and a 2h curved made yesterday...


then i compared them to one of each also made

both sets were dammage sliced...

the rancor ones had a speed of 1.0 - 2.0 higher than the others but had about a 10-18% higher dammge.. but the real kicker was that the wound chance on the wepaons were pushing 50%. Accuracy was hurt.. a weapon that is normally +10 across the board was -1 -8 -1 instead.. also the ham costs were 5-8 pts higher..

in essence the only major good thing i could find with the teeth i looted was the wound chance being higher.. i'll be trying speed powerups on them and looking at durbility on them .. but i expect crafted sword cores will be much better..

I'll give you an example of what I make for Adv Sword cores so you can compare the Rancor tooth to them. Adv Sword Core Dam:Min:43 Max:43 Attack Speed:-0.602 wound:12 Range Zero:12 Max:12 Ideal:12 SAC:H:6 A:6 M:6 With these I make some decent swords. My 2 Handed Curved Swords are Cond:961 AS:2.6 Dam:62-247 W:39.4% RM:+11@0,3,5m SAC:H:30 A:63 M:35 Hope that helps

i'll print it up and compare.. as far as i could tell even sliced the player mades have the advantage in speed.. and since their dammage is close the dps challenge is won by the player made ones... also note that penalties to hit are worse than the player made ones..

that being said if you are doing pve .. and pvp as it stands now../. player made are better.. the set of rancor theeth i got were good ones.. but player made cores are still better...

However if your goal is to inflict wounds instead the rancor weapons with the teeth i got win that challenge hands down (about a 10-15% bonus...)
