On Link-Steel Aluminum your looking for High Conductivity and Overall Quality. Also its used in making Advanced Rifle Stocks. The best stuff I have is CO 652 OQ 881, It makes real nice Laser Rifles and Carbines My Carbines are like AS:3.4 Dam:31-254 Wound:24.7% Ideal Range:+25@50m using only an Adv Scope and my Rifles are AS:5.5 Dam:31-383 Wound:21.9% Ideal Range:+39@60m Adv Scope also. Now I have Adv Power Handlers that will add Min:10 Max:20 over regular power handlers but they lower speed by 0.10 so haven't decided to make those for stocking my vendor yet. For the Adv Stock you want High SR, the best I have is SR 801. Hope that helps

My advice? (and bear in mind, this will take extra effort)

Look through the websites & get a list of ALL the resources needed to make things. Put them on an excel sheet leaving quantity, and important qualities ( Cond, OQ, UT, STR). Always try to fill this list 1st, then replenish it if a better grade item spawns. Keep a minimum of 50k of each item. Grind with whatever extra you can get. Don't succumb to the temptation to burn though your stash in an attempt to grind.

I wish I had followed this. I used up a stash of Link Steel Aluminum & Diatium copper while grinding. Made MWS in a week, not using macros, then sat around waiting for a respawn that took 3 months for Diatium copper to reappear ( it was selling for 70 cpu just before it respawned).

Good advice Also check SWGCraft and if you can help keep it updated. Then if you can't get to all the planets to check whats out there hopefully someone else has and you will know what has spawned so you can see if there is anything you need. I try to update as many planets as possible every couple days. I have a list of what I need along with lists of all the resources I have, that way I can compare what I have to what has spawned. If something out there is better than what I have I go and harvest

hi

i plan on doing weaponsmith shortly and understand its best to stock pile resources. i hear link steel is rare but i've found a node.

is it so rare that if i can get it i should mine it or should i still dismiss anything with stats below 900?

cheers
