Stupid Computer - bah,

O my God, How much xp do you need to get anything

And heh i can only make 2 weapons ? Sword and Pistol ? Cant make rifle because 1 component i cannot make yet

So, what should i be aiming to do first,

Get Assembly / Experiment or Ranged Weapons ?

I am on Infinity server so its kinda quiet so what do fellow Weaponsmiths recommend i do to progress,

Grind XP on staffs / barrels (try to use the macro above) or Make the 2 weapons i can make, but with only 1 Experimenting point wow you cant do anything - he bit of a cmedown from artisan experimentation.

Also do Crafting Station ratings make a difference ?

I have one that is just over 15 will this effect the quality of weapons i produce ?

If so anybody on infinity know where i can get one that is 40+ and how much ?

Thanks for any help offered.

More questions to follow.

I'm not on your server, but I think I can answer some of your questions.

First, the easiest (imo) grind is barrels, projectile rifle barrels (i think you get them at your first box of ranged) are the easiest as they only use one resource and in practice mode give you 94 XP each. Blaster rifle barrels take 2 resources, require a crafting station, but give 126 XP each.

As far as what tree to go up first, that is really up to the individual. Don't worry to much about selling alot of your stuff right out of the gate as you wont be able to compete with the masters as far as quality of product. But once you get a box or two under your belt you can make servucable low-end weapons to sell to noobs on the bizaar. Going up the different trees will give you different kinds of schem's to work with, and the experimentaion tree gioves you more, well..experimentation points. So that is really up to you as to which one you want to persue first.

I recomend getting your experimentation up as soon as possible with one tree of weapons too. When they are both maxed out you can make some decent weapons to finance the rest of your resource needs. And you will need ALOT of resources. Steel, metal, and some crytals mostly.

And yes, the rating of the crafting station and tools make a difference. They decrease the odds of critical failures. And believe me, there is nothing more frustrating that crafting a bunck of components to a gun successfully only to hit a crit fail on the gun and loose them all.

Be aware that WS is probably one of the slowest crafting prof's to climb up. But once you get there, get a smuggler on contract to slice your weapons for you and you can make mint baby!

Good luck.

best way to make money AND grind out WS is by making wuk's (weapon upgrade kits) THESE DO NOT REQUIRE EXPERIMENTATION

any smuggler that tells you that they are using 96% tools spent to much mney for a tool that only costs more to make and gives them no better % on their slices so kick out the WUK's and make friends with a slicer quick i have stopped putting percentages on my wuks and they still sell out rapidly oh i do mislable a few wuks just to see if smuglers will buy 96% wuks over unlisted % wuks at a 5X cost they do but as im a nice guy i inform them of their mistake and get repeat bussiness from them
