I'm just starting my journey down the road of weaponsmithing, and it seems fun. I don't think I will become a 12 point WS unless I love it so much that I make my alt a weaponsmith. I'm making my main a WS right now cause I am getting a little bored with combat, and thought it would be a great profession to have once the CURB hits live. Iam also very close to unlocking my Jedi (next eclipse phase change will do it) and when that happens, I will eventually drop WS for Jedi skills.
I've just got a few questions for the veteran weaponsmiths here. What do you think the CURB will do to the price of weapons? What ratio should I be making grenades, melee, andranged weapons to better sell my stock? Will sliced weapons always sell faster than unsliced, or do customers prefer to slice themselves?
Thanks in advance, I've been reading up on these boards and I really think I will enjoy this profession.

If you are mining your own resources, it takes a few to several months of monitoring spawns and mining resources before you have the quality and selection of resources to make commercially viable weapons.
I've just got a few questions for the veteran weaponsmiths here. What do you think the CURB will do to the price of weapons? Weapons are some of the least expensive crafted items in the game with the exception of weapons made from loot components and schematics. The main factor affecting the latter category is supply. Abundant loot brings prices down and rare loot keepts prices high.
What ratio should I be making grenades, melee, andranged weapons to better sell my stock? Grenades are an excellent way to get a start and generate some cash especially for buying older resources to round out your selection. They are less quality sensitive than other items and they are consumable so there is a constant need among those who use them.
Will sliced weapons always sell faster than unsliced, or do customers prefer to slice themselves? Slicing's about to be revamped as part of the smuggler revamp. See threads on this forum and the Smuggler forum and the In Concept forum to read up on the changes. Smugglers are being given the ability to select the type of slice as well as slice other stat categories so this will effectively remove the rarity of good slices and greatly diminish the role of sliced weapons in the business of those WS's who sell them.
Thanks in advance, I've been reading up on these boards and I really think I will enjoy this profession.

Welcome to the profession Tapa,
I'm sure you will enjoy it. Nothing is more fun than trying to figure out the best way to store over 150 different resource stacks (not counting dupes of over 100K). Packrats like me love WS.
Now, if I could just get my harvester back from those 3 NS Rangers who are camping it on Dath...
