Folks I am kinda new to WS and have not been able to locate any of this steel to use the in advanced barrels. Is there a big difference in the basic and advanced barrels and is this steel worth using my vet reward on? If not is there anybody on Lowca who might have some for sale? Thanks, Keffer

Don't wait for a "good spawn" it suffers from low caps. Grabs whatever you can CD doesnt get above 80 or so and SR is capped at around 500-600

Difference between barrels... I hit 12/12 on advanced, 9/9 on basic ones.

So there is only like a 3pt difference in the min and max damage of a adv barrel to a regular one? If so there is no way there worth the trouble i'd think? are you all using them?

I use advanced blaster barrels in most weapons, but IMO 2-3 points damage difference isn't worth using your veteran reward over. There must be other resources you could get that would make a much bigger difference than 2 or 3 points of damage. Just hold on, Rhodium steel will spawn eventually.

I just used the basic ones... I've been waiting a good3 months or so for this stuff to spawn for me, but to no avail. Whelp, I guess I'll have to hang onto my .08 speed increase and my 2 damage loss

The increase is actually way more that 3 pts of damage, Just hold on it will spawn for ya. I agree there is some other uber materials you could get for your reward thats much better used

Way more than 3 points?

BRB made using Flurry's best spawns of Metal and Gemstone: 9/9 -0.46, using 1000SR gem, 990cd/789sr copper
ABRB made using Flurry's best spawns in all but Duranium Steel: 12/12.

More than 3? Hmm not really. Way more than 3? Definitely not.

I believe he was talking about the ideal range mods on the two...or suspect rather... They make a big difference far beyond the 3 damage points. I think I get about +4/+5 on a regular blaster barrel, and I know I get +19 on an advanced.

Still, not worth a resource deed...pretty much any rhodium will get you about the same thing since critical stats are capped so low, so just wait for a spawn. Honestly, why are all the new WS expecting to get the best of everything so fast? Took me well over a year to get to that point.

I only use regular barrels since these are faster than the advanced ones. And as stated +3 points of damage is piffle.

However, the significant increase in Range modifier was news to me. Very interesting, gotta check that out. Thanks!
